I think he’s right, because when we are thankful for God – for all He is, all He does, the way He works all things for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose – we see everything as a gift rather than something we’ve earned. That causes us to be humble, kind, patient and generous.

I agree, everything IS a gift from God. When we recognize and acknowledge that reality we pay God the respect He deserves and claim the promises He made to us at the same time. Thankful for what you do.
