I believe expressions of gratitude should always be motivated by love and appreciation.
However, I think it’s worth mentioning that expressing gratitude online also has search engine optimization (SEO) benefits.
So, in this article I’m going to share with you…
3 Ways Gratitude is Good for SEO
1) Sharing quote images builds engagement.
If you share quote images to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or whatever social platform you’re engaged in on a daily basis, you’re going to get more likes and shares. This will cause more people to see the other things you post to those social platforms like upcoming events, blog posts, and sermons.
This is why we created 25 Thanksgiving Quotes to Inspire Gratitude and 25 Thanksgiving Bible Verses and Scripture to Inspire and Share. All 25 images are included in each of the blog articles, plus we’re sharing them individually to our social channels throughout the month. Feel free to share them on your social channels too!
2) “Volunteer of the Month” features also encourage engagement.
We wrote earlier about showing appreciation for volunteers with a Volunteer of the Month blog article. These are tremendously popular posts which get lots of views and comments, and when shared to Facebook get lots of likes, shares and comments there as well.
3) It’s all about relationships.
People like to do things with and for their friends. This includes linking to their website (which improves search rankings), sharing their content (which improves social engagement), posting online reviews (which improves search rankings), and introducing other friends to you and your church, nonprofit it or business.
Expressing gratitude is an important part of strengthening relationships. Go out of your way to thank people online for their comments, for their shares, for their contributions to your organization, and more.

Yay! Nice article! SEO is all about relationships. Yes, SEO is allowing you to connect to your prospects, collaboration for high quality backlinks, business partnership, and more.
Totally agree with this. You need to interact not just leave links to your website. Just think of it like you’re talking to a friend.
Yeah, I agree if it’s intended for internal optimization. But how about the external one?
Sarah, what do you mean by “internal optimization” and “external optimization?”
Always show gratitude. If you’re leaving a link on a website, make sure that you share your idea about the topic and never leave rude comments.
