Continuing our strategic planning theme this month…
Often when I talk to people who lead churches, schools, ministries or businesses, they tell me they know they need to improve their website or they know they should be doing SEO but they can’t afford it.
It’s not in the budget.
I understand. Every organization has to live within its means (well, except for the US federal government 😉 )
This is why during your strategic planning – while you’re creating your budget for next year – it’s important to think about where you want to be as an organization a year from now and how you’re going to get there.
Ask yourself two questions:
- Do you want your church, school, ministry or business to grow during the next year?
- Where are those people going to come from?
Research shows most people start their search online for just about everything. Therefore…
If you want your organization to grow, invest in your website and SEO.
Notice I said, “invest.”
Having an investment mindset is essential.
A lot of people still look their website and SEO as a cost. And what do we naturally try to do with costs? Cut them.
But, we want to grow our investments, right?
Every good investment produces a positive return – a return that is greater than the amount invested, and this is true of investing in your website and search engine marketing.
Consult your strategic advisor
Now is the time – while you’re working on your 2021 strategic plan – to consult a digital marketing expert, find out what your options are, what the costs and benefits of each option are, so you can bring those options to your team and finalize your strategic plan.
Our team can be that trusted strategic advisor for your organization at no cost to you. Take a look at our Christian web design and Christian SEO services, and request a free consultation.
