Do I need much technical knowledge to manage my website hosting?

    church website hosting technical knowledge?

We continue our series on Church Website Hosting FAQs…

Diane in St. Louis, MO asks, “Do I need much technical knowledge to manage my website hosting?”

Or if you prefer to read…

The level of technical knowledge needed to manage your website hosting can vary depending on the complexity of your website as well as the hosting provider you choose.

Here are two factors to consider:

    1. Control Panel. Many hosting providers offer a web hosting control panel that has user-friendly features for tasks like creating email accounts, managing databases, and managing domain name settings. So, basic technical knowledge is usually sufficient to use it.

OurChurch.Com’s web hosting includes the cPanel control panel, and we have some great video tutorials that show you how to use it.

    2. Website Builder. Some hosting providers offer website builders that allow you to create and manage your website using drag-and-drop interfaces, templates, and customizable options. Website builders typically require minimal technical knowledge, and they eliminate the need for more complex web hosting tasks like database management, transferring files, and backup.

OurChurch.Com includes our WP-EZ Website Builder in every web hosting account, which requires no web design experience or technical skills.

    In other words…

Don’t have much technical knowledge? You can still manage you website hosting if your web hosting provider includes an easy to use control panel and website builder.
