Back in May Amazon announced a program where bloggers can make their blogs available to Kindle users. When it was first announced I signed up Christian Web Trends, got an automated response saying it was pending a review, and then forgot about it. Not sure when Amazon approve it, but Christian Web Trends is now available on Kindle.
There’s a $0.99/mo subscription fee. Not my doing, but Amazon’s. There’s no way to make a blog available for free. And Amazon takes 70% of the revenue too.
I could see reading blogs on Kindle taking off if it was free, but I don’t know how many people would pay even a buck a month just for one blog.
I don’t have a Kindle but I am curious though what this blog looks like on Kindle.
Any Kindle users out there?
If so, would you be willing to subscribe to Christian Web Trends (there’s a 14 day free trial available) and tell me what you think? Maybe you could even take a picture and send it to me?
Has anyone else published their blog to Kindle?

I use the Kindle App on my iPod Touch, and don’t think I would pay money to read a blog… the defeats the purpose of a blog. Why pay for it when it is free and an RSS Feed will work better at keeping track than Kindle
