Yesterday, I sent a email asking, “What are the 2 biggest things that keep people in your church from living out their faith during the week?”
We received a ton of responses and these are some of the challenges you shared with us in your replies.
Do any of these ring a bell?
-
Busyness
-
Fear – Afraid to talk about Jesus
-
Lack of understanding of their faith
-
Pressure to conform to a secular lifestyle
All these reasons are real. They are proof of the difficulty people have in staying in close communion to Jesus and living a life of faith and joy.
But what if you gave people a way to help addressed these problems and live out their faith each day? And what if this also got folks more engaged in your church and your website?
We will be launching something new that will give people a way to live out their Christian faith, draw closer to Jesus, hear real stories of how others live out their faith, and get more involved in your church. As a bonus, once people know about it, they will want to go to your website every day!
Tomorrow, I will go into more detail about this solution and the one-time offer we will be making.

I think fear and shame is a very real issue for most Christians today. Just like Tim Tebow, it seems the media is quick to judge and belittle those who live lives of faith here in this country. It is very sad.
I agree that fear is arguably one of biggest reasons people struggle. But also the culture the American society has crafted over the past few decades is very heavy on “individualism” and if people follow an “established” thing like religion then shame on them… It’s ridiculous. Hoping we can come together!
Hi Erik, thanks for your comment. I am curious, you say you are hoping we can “come together,” but right before that you cast shame on people of faith and call them ridiculous. Does shaming and ridiculing people help bring us together? If so, how?
