Change to Free Website Reviews (and 3 Winning Sites)

Written by Paul Steinbrueck

It’s great to see that some of you have taken advantage of the opportunity to get a free website review.  Last week we saw an increase in the number of review requests.

After reviewing a bunch of websites last week, we decided to make a change to one of the review points, which I’ll tell you about in a moment.

But before I get to that, let’s celebrate and take a look at 3 churches that requested a free website review, passed all 10 points, and received a Best Church Websites of 2018 award.

Delphi Falls United Church in Manlius, NY

They are using the Dragon Drop Church theme (a WP-EZ 2.0 theme). You can see a screenshot of their homepage below and visit their website at delphiunitedchurch.org

Dover Hill Christian Union Church in Shoals, IN

They are using the Grido theme. You can see a screenshot of their homepage below and visit their website at doverhillchurch.com

New Convenant Baptist Church in Grand Junction, CO

They are using the Center Church theme (a WP-EZ 2.0 theme). You can see a screenshot of their homepage below and visit their website at newcovenantgj.org

You can see other award winning websites on the Best Church Websites of 2018 page.

Change Regarding Quality Images

One of the points we look at when doing website reviews has been:

9. Quality images.  No blurry, broken or animated graphics (flying birds, rotating crosses, moving flags).

A couple of websites we recently reviewed were using very small images in the main content area, like this example:

This just looks awkward, so we have updated #9 to say:

9. Quality images.  No blurry, broken or animated graphics (flying birds, rotating crosses, moving flags). Avoid tiny images. If an image is used that is less than half the width of the content area its in, there should be text beside it.

Request your free website review here!

And if you’re church is looking for a modern, mobile-friendly affordable church website, build your website with our WP-EZ church website builder.

What do you think of these award winning websites?  About the change to point 9?  Post a comment and let us know.
