C. Bernard McBride is the pastor and founder of Soldiers for Christ World Ministries, Inc. the spiritual father and covering for local ministers and the Overseer of the Evergreen Assisted-Living Community Outreach of Houston, Texas.
Cedric is a proud husband, father, military veteran and entrepreneur. He and his beloved wife Nicolle celebrates over 22 years of marriage; are the parents of four and the grandparents of seven.
For nearly twelve years, Cedric honorably served his country while on active duty in the United States Army. In 1999, he was awarded for exceptional military service to the 25th Infantry Division as both a Unit Supply Sergeant and as Company Platoon Sergeant for Headquarters Platoon, Delta Company 725 MSB, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
Cedric's tour of duty has landed him in key worldwide destinations such as Europe, Hawaii, Texas and Arizona. And as a Noncommissioned Officer, he has been noted all over the world for his “outstanding job performance” and “commitment to excellence”. To his acknowledgement, he was awarded several “Army Achievement Medals; the Army Commendation Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal” (one of the |
highest and most prestigious awards a soldier can achieve during peace time). In February of 2001, Cedric was “Honorably Discharged” and returned to Houston where he currently resides.
Cedric accepted his calling to the Gospel ministry in the Spring of 1995 under the tutelage and mentorship of the late Dr. Clea Otis McCaa Sr., the founder and senior pastor of Sierra Vista Church of God in Christ - Sierra Vista, Arizona. Dr. McCaa was responsible for opening the first of many doors that allowed Cedric the opportunity to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
For his own personal edification, Cedric returned to colleges such as Hawaii Pacific University, Wayland Baptist University of Hawaii and Taylor University of Fort Wayne, Indiana to further his education in both Biblical and secular studies.
Approximately one year after relocating to Houston, Cedric was installed into the office of “senior pastor” of Soldiers for Christ World Ministries on May 11th, 2002 by his spiritual father & Bishop, the late Dr. Stanly Diggs, founder and senior pastor of Love Divine Family Worship Center of Baltimore, Maryland. This date also marks the founding date of Soldiers for Christ as a local church and ministry.
Soldiers for Christ was incorporated on December 5th, 2002 and on April 7th, 2004 was recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, non-profit Organization.
Following the blessed transition of Dr. Diggs in January of 2012, Pastor McBride was engrafted into the Spirit of Life Fellowship of Pastors on March 5th, 2012 where Apostle Jerome Nelson Sr. is the prelate, founder and senior pastor of Spirit of Life Ministries of Houston, Texas.
On July 15th, 2005, Pastor McBride started a small business called “Errand Boy Business Solutions” offering high quality graphic design and custom printing services. The company has since grown nationwide and has become a preferred partner to companies such as Fish Place Restaurants, Ambit Energy, FlexMasters USA, Production Testing Services and etc.
In February of 2008, the State of Texas and the Friends of Friends Foundation awarded Pastor McBride as one of Houston's most "Positive Influential African-American Males."
