A Light
I see the light so distantly
While in the darkness stand
If only I could reach that light
If only you’d take my hand.
I pray each day for you to
Lead me from this place
But unless I take a little step
So I can receive your grace.
A step of faith is all I need
To climb from this dark hole
There you’ll be my precious love
Your light to make me whole.

The Tapestry
In life’s woven tapestry
We cannot always see
What lies ahead or understand
What our path will surely be.
No one can explain the different threads
As they fit in the frame
For God has it all worked out
For each one of us you’ll see
When the picture is complete
We then will see it plain
Where all the stitches one by one
Worked out God’s mystery.

If I should Wake
If I should wake and find you
Still beaming in my heart
I will sing a song in praise
Before my day will start
Knowing that you love me
Will sustain me through the day
As I go about my journey
You guide me in everyway.
When the long day has ended
I know for sure you’ll be
Watching over all my dreams
While I sleep and rest in Thee.

Evening
It is evening, and as the day darkens,
I wait for the stars to fill the sky,
And the moon to glow in its space.
For to see a new wonderland beyond
Is like seeing the hand of God, the creator.
Wondrous is the Universe in our time,
Before and after.

Contemplation
To sit a while and
Contemplate on the
Beauty of the day
Refreshed by the night
Rain, and soothed by
The morning ray.
Silence stills the air
But for the flutter
Of wings
As the doves fly
While the blackbird sings.
A symphony of God’s
Creation which is a
Blessing for you and me
To take time in the moment
God’s miracle of life
You will see.
