Word of encouragement to all those who fear and honore God!

“This message is recommended by the college of Bishops to be preached in all Churches, places of Felowships and worship of the living God. It may also be printed and given to friends and loved ones, in other to encourage God’s people to continue to live in the fear, honre and obedience to God’s word.”

This message was written by Bishop Osagiede Godwin Osabuohien.

A SCROLL OF REMEMBRANCE WAS WRITTEN IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD, CONCERNING THOSE WHO FEAR THE LORD AND HONORED HIS NAME!

“You have said harsh things against me” says the LORD. Yet you ask, what have we said against you? “You have said. It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the LORD Almighty? But now, we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly the evildoers prosper, and even those who challenge God escape” Then those who fear the LORD talk with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who fear the LORD and honored his name.

“They will be mine.” Says the LORD Almighty, “in the days when I make my treasured possession.” I will spare them, just as in commpassion a man spares his son who serves him.

And you will again see the distinction between the rightous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. Malachi 3:13-18.

In the days of the old testament, the people who fear and honore God once gathered together to to talk about their walk with God. In their discussion together, they said it is futile to serve God. What do we really gain obeying his word and carrying out his reqiurements? Seeing that we call the Arrogance blessed. Certainly the evil doers prosper and even those who challenge God, escape God’s punishment. As those who fear the lord talk with each other, the LORD listened and heard everything they said.

Just like in your different nations of the world, you have seen that. It seems like those who obey God’s word and carry out his reqiurements are not rewarded. Certainly you have seen the evil doers in your different Nations prosper and keep on prospering, though they continue in their evil ways. Even those who challenge God, by killing his Ministers , burn down church, bibles, commiting evil atrocities against the poor in the spirit and sheding the blood of the innocent people, escape God’s judgement and punishment.

As those who fear God talk with each other, the LORD listened and heard all that they said, and saw that they were right in all that they dscussed together.

Immidiately, the LORD God Almighty commanded! And A SCROLL OF REMEMBRANCE WAS WRITTEN IN HIS PRESENCE CONCERNING THOSE WHO FEAR THE LORD AND HONORED HIS NAME.

In this scroll, it was written that those who fear and honored the LORD God Almighty will be God’s People. “They will be mine” saith God. And in the days when I make my treasured possession’ I will spare them, just as in commpassion a man spares his onw son who serves him. Finally, and you will again see the distinction between the rightous and the wicked, yes the difference between those who serve God wholeheartedly and those who do not.

I am writing this message to encourage all my brethren in Christ all over the world, who have benn living in the fear, honore and obedience to God’s word, to continue all the things that are pleasing to God. Knwing fully well that God and a scroll or a book of remembrance was written before his presence, concerning all those who fear and honore God.

May the LORD God Almighty see all the efforts of your living obedience to his word and remember you according to his written scroll of remembrance to all those who fear and honore him through the obedience of his word.

PRAYER: O LORD, God Almighty! I fear you and I honore your name. Remeber me in your Scroll of remebrance that was written in your presence concerning those who fear the LORD and honore his name. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

LAID OFF FROM WORK, LOSSE FINANCIAL ECONOMY, THE LORD IS STILL IN CONTROL!

In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.  The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the LORD's hand in Egypt ! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death." …  The LORD said to Moses, "I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, 'At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.' "That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.  When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor.  When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was.  Moses said to them, "It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat." - Exodus 16:2-3, 11-15

Laid off from work.  Loss of retirement portfolio.  Banks closing.  Billions in bailouts.  Homeowners evicted.  Recession.  Depression.  If only we could go back a few years and once again have the prosperity and job security we once had.
Whether directly or indirectly, all of us have been affected by the last months of economic hardship.  The effects on individuals may vary, but the sentiment might be the same: We wish things were better…more like they were.
Not long after Moses was used by God to miraculously lead the people of Israel out of Egypt, did the Israelites long to be back in the bondage of Egypt instead of camping in the middle of a foodless, waterless desert.  How quickly they forgot the troubles of the past as they faced the problems of the present. How soon they forgot the provision of the Lord as they confronted the lack of the present.
Yet despite the sinful complaining of the people, the LORD showed his faithfulness.  He heard the complaints of the people and graciously provided them with manna and quail.  Every morning the people were reminded of the faithfulness of the Lord as they picked up the pieces of bread.  Every evening the people were filled by the quail that flew into the camp.  In the midst of scarcity came the Lord’s generosity.
Does the Lord want us to learn the same lesson today?  Absolutely!  In the midst of layoffs and losses is the consistent faithfulness of the LORD Almighty.  Every morning and every evening he provides.  We may not have all we want, but we probably truly have all we need.  Yet even more important than the food he gives to fill our stomachs is his love and forgiveness that he gives through his Son Jesus to fill our hearts.
What a blessing that in these times of layoffs and loss, we still have a faithful, forgiving LORD!
Prayer:
LORD, help me each day to rely on you, not just for my earthly needs, but most importantly for my eternal salvation.  Amen.
