| Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No-one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us. 1.John.4:7-12. This is my dream, I hope you get something out of it. First of all - let me tell you a little about myself, I am 48 years old, I got married seven and a half years ago. I started nursing when I was 18, at 22 I entered the convent, I took my vows after three years, I spent several years as a nun. One morning in October we were going to visit Knock in county Mayo,Mayo is a place of pilgrimage in the west of Ireland but we never got there. About thirty miles from Knock we were involved in a very bad car accident. I broke my back in a few places, both my legs and one arm, I also had severe internal injuries,.I was trapped in the car for a long time, the fire men had to cut me out. A priest was called as the doctor thought I wouldn't make it.The priest gave me the last rites. At that stage I left my body, I could see myself in the car, I was a front seat passenger, I started to rise very high up into a brilliant light, I never saw anything so bright before, then I could hear birds singing, laughter, and a beautiful smell of perfume. I cannot explain this as I never smelt anything like it before. After some time I awoke to find myself on the road, I was disappointed to be back there, but I guess it was not my time to go. I didn't walk properly for a long time after the accident and I was very ill on and off. Some years after I went into a coma suddenly while talking to my Mom, I was put on life support, and again they didn't expect me to wake up, but on Christmas day I did wake up to the amazement of the doctors, I got well again. About two years back I had a hemmorage from my stomach, I nearly died for the third time. The doctors found, a very rare gartric angiodysplasis in my stomach, I had to have blood about five times a year.This sort of growth I had was showing up on camera. But a few months back, it was not to be found, it just disappeared. it's beyond medical explanation. At the moment I am well and feel very close to the Lord.  My dream started some years ago, I was soo ill and felt that I couldn't take any more, so I sat in a room, I lit the candles on my alter put on some soft music. I must have fallen into a light sleep, I started to see myself on a narrow country road, the trees were big and meeting from one side of the road to the other, they formed an arch way, through the trees the sun was making a ray, it looked so beautiful; but as I looked up the road, it was a very steep hill;I wanted to see what was at the top, as I didn't want to go back down the road, it held the memories of the years of suffering;I just wanted it all to stop. I continued up the hill, but it was so steep I was finding it very hard to keep going, it seemed a lot easier to go back down. From a distance I could see a white seat at the side of the road, I thought - if I can get that far, I can rest and decide which way I should go. After I rested for a while I felt fresher, I was looking up an down the hill,but the curiousity got the better of me I wanted to see what was at the top for I already knew what was at the bottom.I started to climb again, I was getting so tired and so hot, my legs were aching, but I was approaching the top of the hill, I was on the verge of collapse,I just wanted to fall down and stay there, but I made it, but just. I lay on my stomach in the sunshine, I was crying, I buried my head in my hands. Suddenly I saw a pair of of feet in sandles, and a white robe to the ground. I lifted my head slightly, and a hand was out to take mine, I looked up - and I saw the most beautiful, kindest face.I gave him my hand, and he spoke softly to me and said:Your climb is over, now I am going to hold you like a child in my arms. This dream changed my life, it helps me to live my life to the full with complete trust in the Lord. Praise Him forever.A lot of times I get the smell of flowers, I am the only person in our company that can smell them; It is a smell of Holiness as if the Lord Himself is beside me. This can happen for you too, if you are hurting just turn to the lord, He will not forsake you.I promise. My Dream ............. Lord Jesus, you are the bread of life. You come to feed the lonely with your company, to feed the sick with your care, to feed the sad with your hope.. Your love touched all you met. You helped them change and grow, you nourished them with your love and led them to the Father.You love opened them to the Spirit of love. As we meet you the bread of life,feed us we pray, with your love. Lead us to the Father. Open us to the Spirit of live so that we can care for others and help them grow in your love.AMEN.. Lord, we are here to listen to your word; we are here to serch for your truth. Speak to us, Lord, you servants are listening. Help us to think and to pray. Lord, in the noise and bustle of life it is not easy to find your Truth. Help us to be quiet and still. Make us attentive to you today, for you alone have the words of eternal life. Lord, by sin and selfishness we have hardened our hearts. Forgive us our foolish ways;open our hearts to the greatness of your love;bless us with the truth that sets us free. Let us pray. God our Father,in you we find life's meaning and purpose.Let your word pierce deeply into our hearts and change our lives,so that we may know life at its best, and learn to live for you and for others,Through Christ our Lord, Amem. .................. Stay with us, Lord as evening falls and be our companion on our way. Set our hearts on fire with new hope,so that with our brothers and sisters we may recognize you in the scriptures and the breaking of the bread, Who lives and reigns for ever and even. Amen. ..................... An offering of oneself.. Lord Jesus, I give you my hands to do your work. I give you my feet to go your way. I give you my eyes to see as you see. I give you my tongue to speak your words. I give you my mind that you might think in me. I give you my spirit that you might pray in me. Above all, I give you my heart that you may love in me - love the Father and all humankind. I give you my whole self that you may grow in me, so that you, Lord, may be the one who lives, and works, and prays in me. Amen. .............. An Irish Prayer For Forgiveness. ............ God of mercy, nothing is hidden from your eyes. I acknowledge in your sight all the sins of my life - through the seening of my eyes, through the hearing of my ears, through the words of my lips, through the thoughts of my heart, through the grasping of my hands, through every breaking of your holy laws. I come to ask forgiveness in the sweet name of Jesus Christ,lest I never asked it in sincerity before and lest do I not live to ask it again. ................ |
