VICTIMS ADVOCATE DAY PROGRAM

Besides preaching the gospel inside the prisons, and sending free Bibles and correspondence courses to incarcerated men and women throughout the United States, Gospel Lighthouse Prison Evangelism, Inc. also ministers to the innocent victims of crime by hosting our annual Victims Advocate Day, on the second Saturday of every August. On this special day, we host a luncheon and give needed materials we have collected throughout the year to various victim advocacy groups.

Each year our ministry gives bookbags that are filled with the items below to Helping Hands of Clemson, SC. Helping Hands of Clemson, Inc. is an emergency shelter for abused and neglected children, primarily serving Anderson, Greenville,Oconee, and Pickens counties, and has become one of the state's largest emergency shelters for children.

HERE IS A LIST OF THE ITEMS WE NEED TO FILL THE BOOKBAGS:

Bibles or New Testaments (KJV only)
White Wash Cloths & Towels
Toothpaste
Toothbrushes & Toothbrush holders
Mouth Wash
Shampoo
Body Wash
Deodorant
Kleenex
Coloring Books
Crayons
Toys & Puzzles

We have to collect these items throughout the year, and we need caring people like you to help us by donating to such a wonderful humanitarian cause. you can help by one of the following ways:

1. Purchase and donate at least two bookbags to this ministry, filled with the items above- one for a girl, and one for a boy.

2. Purchase and fill at least two bags yourself and then donate them to our ministry.

3. Donate money for us to purchase and fill the bags ourselves.

Our ministry also donates teddy bears, toys, and 50 homemade pillows each year to Camp Kid, which is sponsored by the Rape Crisis Pickens County Council. We need caring people who will donate teddy bears, toys, polyester fiber fill, and cloth with children's designs on it [like Spiderman, Sponge Bob Square Pants, fire trucks, etc.].

And we also donate teddy bears to the Pickens Police Department so they can carry them in the trunks of their patrolcars in case of wrecks involving children, or upset children who are afraid because mom or dad got pulled over.

We cannot possibly do all of this alone. We need help from people like YOU. This would make a wonderful missions' project for churches, Sunday school classes, home groups, motorcycle ministries, etc. Can we count on you friend? Make out your tax deductable check to GLPE today, and mail it to:
