For more than 25 years, we provided free websites for Christian churches, schools, ministries and businesses using our WP-EZ Christian/Church Website Builder.

But recently we started questioning…

Does a free website really help an organization live out its mission online? 

You may be able to find a place to build a free church website or create a free website, but is that your best choice?

Because free ministry sites don’t have their own domain name and instead have a URL like https://freesites.ourchurch.com/m/MyChurch/ they rank poorly in Google and are very difficult to find.

In fact, we searched Google for “site:freesites.ourchurch.com” and only 4 of 400 active free sites came up in the Google search results at all.

No bueno!

Additionally, we observed that most people who start building free church or ministry websites don’t finish them. And those who do finish them, usually don’t update them.

July 6, 2023 we announced free websites will be discontinued.
