Doctrinal Statement
We as a local body of believers in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, join together for the glory of our Savior Jesus Christ. It is our desire to know Christ and to make Him known. We believe that this is accomplished by grasping and obeying the truths found in the inerrant, infallible Word of God. We believe that it is the church's commission to spread the Gospel to all nations by teaching them to observe all things that Christ Himself taught and commanded. We as a church are commanded by Christ to be His ambassadors, and to multiply His flock through the baptizing and discipling of new believers.

We believe that God's Word outlines the structuring of the local church. We have termed this outline the "Baptist Dinstinctives". Baptist Distinctives are best described by an acronym which uses the letters BAPTIST to define an Independent Baptist Church. A brief listing of these distinctives follows, and will be supported scripturally in our doctrinal statement.

BAPTIST DISTINCTIVES

B - Biblical Authority for faith and practice.

A - Autonomy of the local church.

P -Priesthood of All Believers.

T - Two Ordinances from Christ: Believer's Baptism and Communion.

I - Individual liberty to study God's Word.

S - Saved and Baptized
T - Two Offices of the local church: Pastor and Deacon.

S - Seperation of state from church.

BIBLIOLOGY (Bible)
[2Tim 3.15-17; 2Peter 1.20-21; Psalm 19.7-9]
We believe the Bible, including the Old and New Testaments, is the verbal plenary inspired Word of God. Men inspired and controlled by the Holy Spirit wrote it. It is without error or contradiction, and it is the final and infallible authority for faith, doctrine, practice, and life.

THEOLOGY PROPER (God)
[Deut 6.4; Matt 28.19; 2Cor 13.14]
We believe in One God, eternally existing it three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; who are identical in essence, equal in power and glory, and possessing precisely the same attributes and perfections. They are, however, distinct in office and activity

CHRISTOLOGY (Christ)
[John11,2,14,18; Luke 1.34,35; Romans 3.24-26, 8.34]
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, having been sent by the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, became man without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. After living a sinless life, He accomplished our redemption by voluntarily giving Himself as a sinless substitutionary sacrifice on the cross, thereby satisfying God’s righteous judgments against sin. After sustaining the accomplishment of that redemption by His bodily resurrection from the grave, He ascended to the right hand of His Father where He intercedes on behalf of those that trust in Him. Through the intercession of Jesus Christ, all believers have the privilege of speaking directly to God without the need for any other medium, i.e. a priest.

PNEUMATOLOGY (Holy Spirit)
[John 3.3-8, 14.16-17, 16.7-11; 1Cor 12.7-13; Eph 4.30, 5.18, 5.30]
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Divine Person, equal with the Father and the Son, who convicts the world of sin and brings new life to those who are spiritually dead. At the moment of salvation, He baptizes/places all true believers into the one true church, which is the body of Christ, indwells them permanently, and seals them for the day of redemption. He empowers believers for the tasks that God has given them. The Spirit gives spiritual gifts to all believers and fills/controls those who yield to Him.

ANTHROPOLOGY (man)
[Genesis 1.26, 3.1-24. Rom 3.10-18, 5.12-19, Eph 2.1-3]
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, in innocence and without original sin. Adam voluntarily sinned and corrupted the human race with sin. The human race inherited this sinful nature, became spiritually dead, and alienated itself from God, thus being unable to remedy its lost and depraved condition without Christ.

SOTERIOLOGY (Salvation)
[Eph 1.7, 2.8-9, 4.30, 5.25-27; Rom 8.28-39, 2 Cor 3+5, 1John 3.2]
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, and can only be obtained through faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Salvation can not be obtained through merit, or works of any kind, including baptism.

ECCLESIOLOGY (Church)
[Acts 2.42-47; 1Cor 1.1-2; Eph 4.11-13]
We believe that the church, the body and bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism, made up of all persons who have trusted Christ for salvation. We believe that the church began at Pentecost, and is distinct from Israel. We believe that the local church is an assembly of saved, baptized believers who voluntarily join together in one local for the sole purpose of bringing glory to God through worship, prayer, study, ordinances, evangelism, and fellowship. We believe that each local church is autonomous, indigenous, self-organized, and self governed. We also believe that each individual has the right to study God’s word for themselves without the dictation of any other authority.

ESCHATOLOGY (End Times)
[Luke 16.19-26; 2 Cor 5.8; 2Thes 1.7-9; Rev 20.11-15]
We believe in a personal, bodily, visible, pre-millennial, pre-tribulational return of the Lord for His church. We believe that these last will occur as follows: Rapture, Tribulation, Millennial reign of Christ, Resurrection and judgment of unsaved, Eternity.

ORDINANCES
[Mk 1.9-11, 14.22-25; Lk 3.21-22, 22.17-20; Jn1.31-34, 13.12-30; 2or 11]
We believe that Jesus gave His church two ordinances, the Lord’s supper and believers baptism. The Lord’s supper is to be taken in remembrance of the sacrifice and victory that Christ won on the cross. Believer’s baptism through immersion is to be a testimony to all present, that new believers are identifies with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

SECURITY OF SALVATION
[ Jn 10.27-29; Rm 8.29-39; 1Jn 5.13; Heb 12.6; Mtt 7.20; James 2.20]
We believe that all the saved, those whom God has accomplished His transforming work of grace, are kept by His power and are, thus, secure in Christ forever. It is impossible for one born into the family of God ever to be lost
