Puppet 2: Do I know the song?
Puppet 1: You might.
Puppet 2: How does it go?
Puppet 1: I don’t know.
Puppet 2: How did you learn a new song if you can’t tell me how it goes?
Puppet 1: I don’t know.
Puppet 2: What is the name of the song?
Puppet 1: I don’t know.
Puppet 2: What do you know!
Puppet 1: It was something about Jesus and love.
Puppet 2: Was it Jesus Loves Even Me?
Puppet 1: I don’t know.
Puppet 2: Would it have been Jesus in the Morning?
Puppet 1: I don’t know.
Puppet 2: Would it be Jesus Loves Me?
Puppet 1: YES! That’s it! Jesus Loves Me!
Puppet 2: I know that song. (Sing) Jesus loves me this I know, for the bible tells me so, little ones to him belong, they are weak but he is strong.
Both Puppets: (song) Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus love me, yes Jesus loves me the bible tells me so.
Puppet 2: Hey! That was great. You do know the song.
Puppet 1: I did remember! It also reminds of why I like that song so well.
Puppet 2: And why is that?
Puppet 1: Well you know how we have moved so often.
Puppet 2: Yeah! And that you have attended 5 different schools in 6 years. That’s tough!
Puppet 1: With my dad in the service, we move a lot. Sometimes, I try one school and have to change to another; I have been far behind in my schoolwork at times due to all the changes.
Puppet 2: Yeah! And finding a new church for all the times you have moved must have been difficult, too!
Puppet 1: Yes. This past week in Sunday school, our teacher told us about the Warner sisters. They lived near a U.S. Military Academy and conducted Sunday school classes for the young cadets.
Puppet 2: That’s neat!
Puppet 1: The sister’s father had died and left them very little money to live on. Both of the sisters decided to write. They wrote books and other literacy.
Puppet 2: Did one of the sisters write the song Jesus Loves Me?
Puppet 1: Sure thing! Anna Warner did. It became a popular song.
Puppet 2: Missionaries use that song to tell the children about Jesus.
Puppet 1: Many churches and Sunday schools teach the song to all the children.
Puppet 2: Although many people dress and look different, Jesus loves us all!
Both Puppets: (sing) Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus love me, yes Jesus loves me the bible tells me so.
