RACHEL'S RULES
Rachel had an eventful end to 2008. She enjoyed a number of special year 7 activities ending with a ‘graduation’ from primary school ceremony at which Rachel was awarded a special prize for her excellence in Japanese! She also received straight A’s on her report card—a great finish to her year in Australia.
Just before Christmas her friends surprised Rachel with a carefully planned surprise farewell party which was lots of fun and will be well remembered. Christmas and New Years was a very special time with family, (especially a cousins reunion) before leaving for Japan.
Rachel is gradually settling into her new school and is looking forward to making new friends
JESSICA’S JAUNTS
The highlight of term 4 for Jessica was spending a week at Sovereign Hill on school camp with mum accompanying the trip and Uncle Jono there as a teacher. Being part of this ’live’ museum meant dressing up 1850’s style and finding out what school life was like back then. Panning for gold, dipping candles, and riding horse drawn coaches were all part of the fun.
Jessica had a great time at Christmas and New Year with lots of special family time. It did make it harder to say goodbye though!
Jess is enjoying her new teacher and friendly classmates at CAJ and together with Rachel has learned how to get to school by train.
