December is Video Month at OurChurch.Com. With the prevelance of broadband Internet connections and explosion in media sharing sites this past year online video has finally gone mainstream. Yet, the vast majority of websites still do not have video content. That presents a great opportunity to develop a website that really stand out from the rest with video. This month we're providing tips, tools, and services to assist with that.

1) Video is Gold
One of the things that hinders people from putting video on their websites is the amount of disk space video files require. To help with that, we're offering a discount to help folks upgrade to the Gold package, which has 800 MB of disk space. During the month of December, you can get the a year of the Gold package and Ad-free option together for just $299. That's a savings of $181, or 38% off the regular cost.
2) Free Links for Sites with Video
We want to recognize and reward those sites that have video on them by including a link to them in our list of featured video sites. To qualify, the website must be hosted by OurChurch.Com and the video must be hosted in the OurChurch.Com account. (Linking to or including video stored in other locations doesn't count.) If your site qualifies, drop us a note in our help desk and include the name of your site and URL of a page with video on it. The sooner you contact us the higher up on the list your site will appear.
3) Free iPod Nano Giveaway
In addition to adding a link on this page to your site, OurChurch.Com will also enter you in a drawing for a free iPod Nano. The 1 GB iPod Nano holds about 250 songs or 15,000 photos, weighs less than 2 ounces, and is valued at $150. To be eligible, websites must meet the video qualifications described above, and notify us through the help desk by December 31, 2006. The drawing will be held January 2, 2006 and the winners name will be disclosed in an announcement later that day.

4) Video Site to be Featured
As if the free links and iPod Nano giveaway were not enough, we will also feature this page and one of the websites containing video content in our monthly Webmaster Newsletter scheduled for distribution December 12. Of course, you've got to send us a link to your site so we can add it to this page before those newsletters go out if they are to have any benefit to your site.
