Can I change my template at any time?
Yes, you can change your template any time you wish. You can even change the template for individual pages.
Can I edit the template, such as the colors and graphics?
The short answer is "yes" if you have a Gold, Silver, or Bronze hosting package, however, this project is for more advanced web and graphic designers. The reason for this is that the files that make up a template are often "sliced" into several small sections that make up an entire template. Editing these sections can be tricky due to the overlap and size differences that can result. We highly recommend that you do not attempt to edit a template on your own, however, if you do decide to try, there is not a template editor in the NE1 Web Builder. Instead, you will need to login to the FTP access for your website and download the template files to your computer. You will then need to use an html editor to modify the template. Once completed, upload the modified template to your website to use it.
*Note: Modifying and customizing a template requires advanced html skills. OurChurch.Com highly recommends that you do not attempt this yourself. If you decide to try to customize a template yourself and have difficulty, OurChurch.Com does not provide support to fix those issues. *Tip: OurChurch.Com does provide a custom template design service. If you are interested in having us design a custom template, you can place an order through your admin section or by calling and placing an order.
How many pages can I have?
If you have a free website, you are limited to 12 pages. With all of our premium hosting packages, there is no page limit.
*Note: Pages not currently displayed do count towards your page limit.
What kind of music files can I upload to my site and what kind of music file should I use for the background music of my web pages?
Free and Starter sites only support MIDI files. MIDI music is computer-generated instrumental music. Gold, Sliver, and Bronze sites support MP3, WMA, RealAudio, and WAV file formats in addition to MIDI.
*Tip: When selecting a file for your background music, consider the size of the music file and the number of visitors that page gets. This is important because bandwidth used by the background music of your web pages can very quickly add up to a lot of bandwidth. When a song is setup as background music it will be played every time someone visits that page. So, if the music file is an mp3 that is 5MB in size, up to 5MB of your hosting packages bandwidth will be used every time someone views that page. If you have 1000 visitors in a month, that could add up to 5GB of bandwidth. Due to their relatively small file size, OurChurch.Com recommends using only MIDI files for background music. MIDI files tend to be 5-15KB in size, which is about 1000 times smaller than an average mp3 song.
When uploading a music file is there a size limit?
Yes and no. There is a 3.00 MB limit when using the NE1 web builder's Asset Manager to upload the files. Gold, Silver, and Bronze sites can access their website through FTP to upload files. When using FTP to upload files, you are only limited by the amount of disk space you have available with your hosting package. So, if you have 500MB available, you can upload a 500MB file…but it may take a while ;)
