SEO Features: General Info

In the "SEO Features" tab are 5 elements to help your page within the search engines as well as allow you to insert HTML or Javascript code into the header of your web pages. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and the settings in the SEO Features section help search engines such as Google and Yahoo better understand your page and what it is about.

In the SEO Features tab, you can setup the Meta Tags for the web page as well as input the settings for the SEO Friendly feature for that page. (Info about the SEO Friendly feature can be found in the "Web Builder Config" help pages.) The meta tags are inserted into the HTML document, but are often not directly visible to a user visiting the site. While meta tags are less significant today than they were in years past, they are still an important element of a website and should not be overlooked. Each individual tag represents a different category or topic and some tags can actually have an active affect on your website by redirecting a page, or by keeping search engine "bots" away.
