We are excited to announce the next generation of our WP-EZ Website Builder – WP-EZ 2.0 – is now available!
WP-EZ is WordPress made easy. 2.0 makes it even easier thanks to 3 exciting new features.
1) Pre-Installed, Theme-Specific Pages
With the original WP-EZ every theme came with the same 3 basic pages installed – Home, About, and Contact. With 2.0, every theme comes with pages specific to the type of organization the theme was designed for. For example, the Dragon Drop Church theme comes with 8 church-specific pages like Sermons and Give pages, while the Dragon Drop Ministry theme comes with 8 ministry-specific pages like Store and Schedule pages.
2) Page Templates
With the original WP-EZ, the 3 pre-installed pages had almost no content on them. 2.0 has Page Templates with sample content already beautifully laid out. All you have to do is replace the text with your own text and replace the images with your images, and you’ve got a beautiful, well organized website in very little time.
3) Drag-and-Drop Page Builder
With the original WP-EZ, pages were limited to one main content area, which restricted what you could do on each page. 2.0 has a cutting-edge drag-and-drop page builder which makes lots of new layout options possible. Want one part of a page to have a single column layout while another has two columns? Easy. Want to make one of those two columns bigger than the other? Just click and drag the divider. Want to add a parallax background image that slides as you’re scrolling down the page. No problem.
Watch this video to see an overview of these exciting features.
8 New WP-EZ 2.0 Themes
We have 8 new themes available for WP-EZ 2.0 that make use of the features highlighted above. They include 2 different designs – “Dragon Drop” and “Center.” Each design has been utilized to create four organization-specific themes, each with its own organization-specific page templates.
- Dragon Drop Church
- Dragon Drop School
- Dragon Drop Ministry
- Dragon Drop Business
- Center Church
- Center School
- Center Ministry
- Center Business
For each theme, we created a 4-5 minute overview video to give you a tour of how they look and function, videos available in the WP-EZ 2.0 Knowledgebase.

I am still somewhat confused …Am I corrrect in your statement
that 2.0 is available to gold host plans and any other user that
what to use 2.0 will have to upgrade to gold or 2.0 will not be
available to them now or in the future. (Exclusively to Gold Users)
All other plans users can’t use any of these new features you had us patiently
awaiting unless we upgrade to the higher price Gold Plan
Hi David, right now WP-EZ 2.0 is available only to those websites with the Gold hosting package. Strategically, we believe when launching something new, it’s usually best to release it to a limited number of users. This enables us to get feedback on the service, fix any issues that may arise, observe how people use it, and see how much support people need on a smaller scale. Then based on the small scale release, we can determine if it’s worthwhile to make the service available to more users and when.
For example, if it turns people who switch to WP-EZ 2.0 require more help from our support team than expected, releasing it to everyone could overwhelm our suppot team and prevent us from being able to assist users in a timely manner. It would cause everyone to become frustrated. But, if that were to happen when it’s released just to Gold, we’re in a much better position to provide the support required, assess the issues that are requiring support, and determine if we can improve 2.0 so it’s easier to use and requires less help.
It may very well may turn out that 2.0 is easy to use and requires little help, or we’re able to improve the issues that people have difficulty with. If so, we will be able to make it available to other packages in time. But for now, we believe its best for everyone if we proceed with a limited release while still making it possible for anyone to get it if they upgrade to Gold.
Thanks for the thoughts behind the limited release….
Looks forward to the release to all Plans was a bit discouraged
when Wp-EZ 1 was released and did not have more of the full
features as other WordPress sites for building pages.
Now moving in the direction more familiar for me
anyways ,for page building..Keep up the Good Work
