Yesterday, I sent a quick email to all of our users asking two questions
-
When you visit your website, do you see “secure” or “not secure” next to your website address?
-
What’s the biggest website security concern you have?
First of all, thanks to everyone who responded so far. We received lots of great feedback about security concerns such as:
-
Keeping newsletter contact info secure
-
Someone from hacking the site & putting false info on it
-
Someone will takeover the website
Do you share any of these concerns?
Unfortunately, we also found out the vast majority of people are seeing “not secure” next to their web address when they view their website.
This means data is being transferred to and from your website in a way that could make it visible to hackers.
The other issue is what your visitors think when they see “not secure” next to your website. It may give them a negative impression. It could also scare them into leaving your website rather than continuing to look around, learn about your church, ministry or business.
Trust is your most valuable asset. Don’t risk losing it!
We will be launching a solution that makes your website and your data more secure, and puts a nice, reassuring “Secure” notice next to your web address.
Tomorrow, I will go into more detail about this solution and the one-time offer we will be making.
