Do you and your church want to reach more people in your community in 2025? (I hope so!)
Is your website a part of that strategy? (Again, I hope so!)
Is one of your 2025 goals to build a new church website or improve your existing one? (Not gonna say it a 3rd time 🙂 )
Before you start building a new site or making changes, it’s important to discuss church website ideas:
- What church website ideas are helping churches connect with people in their communities?
- What church website design ideas are making website look and function better on smart phones?
- What church website ideas are helping church congregations stay connected between Sundays?
Here are some ideas to consider in those discussions.
3 Church Website Ideas for 2025
1) Get a New Logo
A logo is much more interesting and engaging than the plain text name of the church. It shows a certain level of creativity and artistry. It’s the first thing people will see when they visit your website or pick up any print materials you create.
Think about the way Millennials and Gen Z connect with visual media like Instagram and YouTube. If you’ve never had a logo or the one you have is looking dated, an easy step you can take towards engaging with them is to get a new church logo.
2) Add a Video Background
Another great way to add life to your website and give potential visitors an instant idea of what your church is like is to add a video to the background of the top content section of your homepage. Check out SD.CHURCH for a great example!

3) Plan Your Visit
Another church website idea that is helping to give people a better experience the first time they visit a church is the “Plan Your Visit” strategy.
This strategy includes creating a “Plan Your Visit” page which explains and shows people what to expect when they visit. It also invites people to schedule their visit by filling out an online form. The church then responds with follow-up communication leading up to their visit and has a host waiting to welcome them and show them around the church facilities when they arrive.

Our WP-EZ Website Builder has two themes that include Plan Your Visit pages and forms, the Grow Church theme and the Fluid Church theme. We also have an entire Plan Your Visit online course which is available for no extra cost to every organization that has one of our web hosting packages.
