Prince of Peace Lutheran Church has been serving their community in the suburbs of Chicago for over 60 years.
For the past 4+ years, Prince of Peace has been church website design customer of OurChurch.Com’s. They have the Custom Pro Website package, which includes a free redesign every 3 years.
Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of redesigning their website, which launched in April. Already, they are seeing benefits of their new site.
I recently chatted with Danielle Klosowski of POP about the redesign process and how their new site has impacted their ministry in Schaumburg, IL.
Q: Tell me about the issues you were struggling with your old website.
A: The old site was static and outdated. We had no major issues, but were ready for a fresh new updated look. We really wanted to be able to integrate the rolling home page and some videos on the home page and make sure that our website was more user friendly for mobile and iPad/Tablet devices.
Q: What was the process like working with OurChurch.Com for your redesigned website?
A: Our contact at OurChurch.com was very responsive. Even if an answer was unknown right away, he worked diligently to find the correct answer and respond in a timely manner. He was also incredibly patient with our questions, concerns, comments and learning curves with all the upgrades of the new website. It was a pleasurable working relationship that allowed for goals to be achieved in a timely manner.
Q: What are some of the benefits you see the new website providing to the church?
A: We have seen an increase in Member Login Passwords being requested, as well as, more traffic to the website. The Sermon Manager has been a huge addition to our website and we have seen number increase in the amount of people going to listen to the sermon on the website weekly. We are also able to get our upcoming events information to our congregation in an easy and clean way on the home page. Everything is much easier to find, including Member Login. It is also drastically easier to access and use the website on mobile devices and iPads/tablets, which was a big deal in our decision to upgrade as well.

Thanks for this article. I’m a member of Prince of Peace and appreciate all the work Dani and her team put into this redesign. One note: Schaumburg is misspelled in the early part (4th paragraph) of the article. Thank you.
Leslie, thank you for catching that. We have corrected the spelling 🙂
