We live in a time where we are more aware of the environmental consequences of actions than any time before.
We recycle, conserve water, and minimize the amount materials that are harmful to our environment.
In fact, God put man in charge of taking care of the earth. So is your church doing it’s part?
Your church website design gives you the ability to conserve on things like paper, ink, and TIME.
In addition, all of these things will save you a considerable amount of money!
So how can a website help in these areas? Check out the 3 things your website can do to conserve and save your church time & money:
- Online event registration: No longer do you need to absorb the cost of printing paper forms for events. Those VBS, youth retreats, and other events can all be done through your website. In addition, online registration eliminates the hassle of deciphers illegible handwriting.
- Electronic newsletters: Postage and printing is extremely expensive. If you have 200 people that would receive a monthly newsletter, printing and mailing those would cost over $1200 per year. You can send out a monthly electronic newsletter from your website for $0. What could your church do with an extra $1200/year?
- Make documents and resources available online: Many churches offer all kinds or study guides, supplements, and other printed materials. Instead of printing many copies of these materials, upload them to your website and let your congregation know where they can find them. Print out a few copies for those who can’t or won’t use the website for this resource.
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it. -Genesis 2:15
