As we are on the eve of launching EZ Sermon Manager, we have received a lot of feedback asking for tips on what video, audio, and editing software to use without breaking the bank.
Sermon Video Recording Recommendations
Brady Shearer of Pro Church Tools recently created a short video where he gives expert advice on what video and audio equipment to use to create great quality videos.
And although he specifically talks about it in the context of a video “studio” you can apply the principles to recording sermons.

Video Editing Software
Some people have also requested suggestions on video editing software.
We have found that Videopad is a great solution and costs only $49 (or free if used for non-commercial use). Windows also comes with “Video Editor” preinstalled.
With both of these solutions, you can create excellent videos without breaking the bank.
Audio Recording
There are lots of affordable solutions for recording and digitizing sermon audio. The Zoom U-22 takes RCA cable inputs from the output of a sound board and has a USB connector to download recordings to a computer. Its easy to use and costs only $100.
Audio Editing Sotware
The most popular audio editing software is Audacity, and it’s completely free.
