In the “should have seen this coming” department, Rev. Cedric Miller, the pastor of Living Word Christian Fellowship Church in Neptune, NJ who we blogged about a couple weeks ago when he banned married church leaders from using Facebook because he believes it opens the door to inappropriate relationships, has admitted to inappropriate sexual behavior and resigned.
Apparently, after Miller’s Facebook ban made headlines reporters decided to do a little digging into his past and found that in 2003 he testified in a criminal case. According an Associated Press report:
In court testimony he gave in April 2003, Miller said his wife had an extramarital affair with the church assistant. Miller said he participated in many of the sexual encounters and said the assistant’s wife was sometimes present, too.
Miller said the dalliances — which occurred in the Millers’ home — sometimes took place during Thursday Bible study meetings and Sundays after church. But the minister said the encounters “came to a crashing halt” when several women in the church accused the assistant of having sex with them.
Since Facebook didn’t exist at the time of his indiscretions, perhaps considering the circumstances he’s considering banning Bible studies.

Interesting, interesting… there seems to be no limit to the depth of sin in people's lives. Someone needs to come to fix all this! Someone needs to make this right! Oh, wait… that's been done!
Merry Christmas, Dan. 🙂

Jacob, I appreciate your opinion, but I think it's important for people to hear the whole story. So often it seems like the Christians who act the most self-righteous and want to ban other people from certain things happen to be hiding struggles with the very things they speak out against.
We all make mistakes and need forgiveness. It is when people put themselves up on a pedestal, act as if they are better than others, and judge them while hiding their own dirty little secrets that I get upset.
Let us pray for him that God will strengthen him
