4-25-02 SCULPTURE OF KATERI
Virginia Ann Grace Auldridge of Ben Sue Productions has volunteered to create and donate the main statue of Blessed Kateri for the Shrine. Presently she is gathering information on Kateri so that she will be as realistic as possible. It is important to have the correct style of clothing and symbols of her tribe. Please keep Ginny in your prayers. I've no doubt she has been chosen to do this wonderful and awesome task.A Gift of Love.

6-1-02 PILGRIMAGE SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 23
The last week of September, 5 pilgrims will start a pilgrimage in honor of Blessed Kateri and to seek her intercession for the Monastery and Shrine. We shall stop first at Auriesville, New York and Fonda to visit her birthplace, where she was Baptized and site of the Martyrs Sts. Isaac Jogue, Rene Goupil and John Lalandis. Then to Kahnawake her place of rest. We also hope to visit St. Joseph Oratory, Notre-Dam-du-Cap and St. Anne-du-Beaupre. I will be traveling with 4 women including my mother. All of us are disabled in one way or another but will support each other along the way. Only one of us may require a wheel chair though we may all share it. All of us are very poor and though we do not see how we are financially going to make such a pilgrimage, we trust it will be so. This pilgrimage is very important.
We do not ask of you any financial obligations but only for your prayers that this little group devoted to Kateri will be able to make this pilgrimage and to bear the fruit of its intentions. Everything surrounding the Pilgrimage, the future Shrine to Kateri, and the Monastery staying open, depends on a very big miracle. Please be a part of that through your prayers.
7-12-02 - We have a slight change of plans on our pilgrimage. We will now stay at the Fonda Retreat House 6 nights and venture from there to Canada and the other Shrines.Fonda Retreat House will be our Homebase.

7-12-02 SPECIAL MASS
On September 24 at 4:00 pm our group has been blessed to be able to offer Holy Mass in the Blessed Kateri Chapel at the Shrine in Auriesville. What a joy! But on top of this, one of our members in the group, a recent convert, will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation (Chrismation) and take the name of Kateri. What a special day this will be.

8-21-02 TEMPORARY HOLD ON SHRINE
The future Shrine for Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha is temporarily on hold because of financial obligations that precede this project. At this time, no monetary donations have come in for the project, and it has been decided that first we need to secure the mortgage and financial burdens the monastery already has. This alone keeps us busy from one month to the next. We are still falling short of our monthly needs but God is sustaining the monastery. However we will have a place for the sculpture of Blessed Kateri when it is ready and if donations earmarked for the Shrine do come in, they will be kept for that purpose.
