Sunday School
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” -Mark 10:14
Jesus Loves Little Children. We know this. But, do our kids know that Jesus loves them so much?
In order to make our kids to understand and experience the God’s Love, Sunday School Ministry (SSM) of Atlanta Tamil Church working to reach the vision of "Making our Kids FOR Jesus".
Syllabus:
A Topic/Theme for the month is selected based on the special happenings of that month. Keeping the topic as a base, a syllabus for that month is designed. A syllabus is composed of 4 Bible stories for 4 weeks, a memory verse and a song related to the topic.
Class:
Children enter the Sunday school hall sharply at 6:00 PM accompanied by the Children Worship Leader. The Children Worship Time starts with the Prayer, followed by recalling the songs they learnt already in their previous classes to Praise Jesus. During the Children Study time, the children will be learning a story, memory verse and a song. Along with this, Children will be taught to Pray, give offering, do activities like coloring, craft/art work etc… After the Study time, children will receive some kind of reinforcement from the teacher and enter the main Church hall happily. During the Performance Sunday, the children will come to the front of the Church and recite a memory verse and sing a song for that month. Those kids will receive gift/goodies.
Special Celebrations:
Our Sunday School kids will be given a full exposure to learn about the Christian Celebrations by giving them an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy it in a fun loving way.
Conclusion:
SSM of Atlanta Tamil church is a team effort in working towards the goal. The team comprises of the Pastor, teachers, Parents and kids. Our greatest strength is our Prayer. We also want you all to keep this ministry in your Prayer.
