Fullness of Joy
Verse 11 of chapter 16 says this, “You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” So often we take for granted the joys and pleasures of this life. God has given us so much. Sometimes we even look to others or material things for our joy and pleasure. We never even think about God and that He is the one who is providing all of that for us and that He is the ultimate giver of joy.
What do we do then when we lose someone we love or the joys and pleasures we enjoy are taken away from us? For Christians, we have the comforting arms of our Father to fall back on. In His presence is fullness of joy. The joy of the Lord is so far greater than anything that you or I could imagine. If you love the joys and pleasure that God has given you, just wait until you find out what else God has in store for your life.
