God loves you
To God Be the Glory
IN 2008...
LET'S DON'T BE LATE
(FOR GOD)
Psalm 102:14
For thy servants take pleasure
in her stones, and favour the dust
thereof.

The other day I ruined both my hear-
ing aids. (I'd put them in my shirt pocket, then washed
the shirt. Not recommended!) Replacing them would
take three weeks, and meanwhile it was "What did you
say?" and "Can't hear you" and "Say again?" until my
wife Tib must have been ready to buy a bullhorn.
But it was an odd thing, she told me later, that dis-
tressed her most. "It wasn't having to raise my voice
and repeat," she said. "It was that I no longer found
myself sharing the little things"--the small, fleeting,
inconsequential observations that didn't merit com-
municating at the top of her lungs. "I realized how
much of our relationship is made up of just those
shared minor moments."
How many such moments, I wondered, did I stop
to share with God? Moments when your heart lifts,
when you understand something or notice something
new. Yesterday morning I saw an insect laying her
eggs on the outside of a window pane in our kitchen;
I stood and watched--and thanked God for showing
me one of His smaller miracles. Later in the day, in a
crowded New York City coffee shop, I noticed a man
with an enormous belly slumped in front of his lap-
top, snoring peacefully, accepted and undisturbed as
people passed by smiling. A few moments later, an-
other lovely glimpse, a mother with an infant strapped
across her chest hailing a taxi in the rain. Little mo-
ments to share with Tib ... and with God.
PRAYER THOUGHTS:
Help me, Father, to tell You more of the little things
that are at the heart of intimacy.

So I kept saying to myself
What Would Jesus Do
I had to talk to someone
Someone who knows how to care
So I went to my knees and found
God was waiting for me there

Have you ever just been sitting there and all of a
sudden you feel like doing something nice for one
you care for? THAT'S GOD talking to you through
the Holy Spirit. Have you ever been down and out
and nobody seems to be around for you to talk to?
THAT'S GOD wanting you to talk to Him. Have you
ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't
seen in a long time and then next thing you know you
see them or receive a phone call from them? THAT'S
GOD. There is no such thing as coincidence. Have you
ever received something wonderful that you didn't
even ask for, like money in the mail, a debt that had
mysteriously been cleared, or a coupon to a depart-
ment store where you had just seen something you
needed, but couldn't afford? THAT'S GOD knowing
the desires of your heart. Have you ever been in a
situation and you had no clue how it was going
to get better, how the hurting would stop, how the
pain would ease, but now you look back on it.
THAT'S GOD passing us through
tribulation to see a brighter day.
I was just sitting here and this thought hit me hard.
I have known this for a long time but I have to share
this with you since it hit me so hard and at this very
moment........
"GOD IS SO GOOD"
When no one is there to help you who is?
GOD IS
When no one else seems to love you who does?
GOD DOES
HE IS THERE LOVING AND HELPING YOU
THROUGH IT ALL NO MATTER WHAT
AND WE LOVE YOU TO
GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU
GOT JESUS ... IT'S HELL WITHOUT HIM

I'm too blessed to be stressed
If God brings you to it ...
He will bring you through it
If God said it ... that settles it
Always be happy "TODAY," so
tomorrow you would not ask,
why was I sad yesterday?
COLORS OF FAITH ...
YELLOW ... God's perfect light
BLACK ... our sins
RED ... the blood Jesus shed for us
WHITE ... the cleansing of our sins
GREEN ... the new life we have in Jesus
BLUE ... the baptism that identifies us
with Jesus
PURPLE ... the crown of life
The only person I have to get better than
is the person I am right now
Don't walk in front of me,
I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me,
I may not lead.
Just walk beside me
and be my friend.
God loves you
and so does
