Statement of Faith
holy men of God as they were moved to do so by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1:20-21,2 Timothy
3:16-17)
We believe that the Bible clearly teaches that God is one, (Genesis 1:1, Exodus 20:1-7,
Deuteronomy 6:4)
and that God created man and put in man the desire to worship Him alone.
We believe the creation story as told in the Bible. Man was given work for his own good
and that it was man who sinned and broke the relationship with God by his disobedience
and died a spiritual death at the same time. (John 3:3-8, hence the need for rebirth)
We believe in the immeasurable, infallible love of God towards man. In this love God
manifested Himself in flesh, to be the perfect sacrifice for the atonement of our sins and
reconcile us back unto Himself. (John 1:14,
2 Corinthians 5:19)
We believe Jesus the Christ is that manifestation.
We believe in the virgin birth of our Lord Jesus and that being born of woman, Jesus is
both man and God. (known to us as the Son of God, Hebrews 1:1-3)
We believe that faith in Jesus the Christ and acceptance of His substitutional physical
death for the forgiveness of our sins by His shed blood (Hebrews 9:22) must be inclusive in
the confession and repentance and forsaking of our sins.
Following the step we believe in baptism in the name of Jesus by immersion for the
remission of our sins and the infilling promise of God’s Spirit given to teach, guide and
empower us to live a overcoming life.
We believe further that God puts His Spirit as a seal upon all who will live faithfully in
Christ Jesus. (1 John 1:8-10, Proverbs 28:13, Acts 2:38, Mark 1:4, John 14:26, 2 Timothy 2:19,
Acts 15:8)
