Dear brother & sister: Trust you are well. My apologies for disturbing your quiet and peaceful life from thousands of miles away of China, but for the sake of my wife, I have to tell you about the misfortune that I have experienced. If you can understand me, have compassion on me, and consider me as a friend even a brother, then the disaster and misfortune I have experienced in the world will be forgivable and the loneliness and pain I have felt will be soothed. My wife and I are all associate professor in China. We use our all lifetime to do research and teaching work in the fields of Chinese classic literature, European and American literature and com parative literature. A fter our 35 years¡¯ diligent and earnest work we retired, and we saved 270 thousand yuan RMB (about 32.5 thousand USD) by frugal life and some part-time job. I decided to use it to do eye operation for my wife (She suffers from cataract in both her eyes, but her Medicare hospitalization insurance is less than 100 USD per year). In order to get more interest, I deposit all my money in a investment company©¤ Tianjin Ruixiang Investment and Consultation Ltd. Company. A Chinese former governor planned and involved in the establishing of this company. And China Securities Regulatory Commission audited this company and issued certificate (No. 0091) of investment and consulting of the securities to the company. But one year ago, Tianjin Ruixiang Investment and Consultation Ltd. Company was closed by Tianjin Public Security Bureau because the company invaded and occupied depositor¡¯s money and it was made exposed to the public. Then my all-life sweat and toil savings became nothingness in a moment. After that I had asked the local government and central government for help for many times. I also went to the court and request them to accept and hear the case, but because several former governors involved in this case the court turned down my requisition of litigation according to some regulations. Now I am at the end of my rope! And I am afraid that I could not live to the day when I can take back my justice. Because my poor wife is already close to spiritual breakdown, and the relatives stay with her all day and all night, in case something will happen. My wife and I have past our sixties, but we lost our money, with which we depended living our old-age life, and we wanted to cure our illness. Until now I still remember in the summer and winter holidays, I went to the farm to clear of weeds and pull out wheat; and I still remember the horror after surviving from the Tangshan Earthquake and the days when I slept among the earthquake ruins! All these make up the main parts of my first-half life, but I did not complain anything because I had a family! Now I have past my sixties, and the juvenile time is just like something happened in another world. The miserable life lasts about half-century, which contain my sincere love to my wife that never has been less as time pass by. I overcome the shame and disgrace, and depend on the courage that I have lived on, I have loved, wildly pursued, and I believe that I still have enough; I need your help . I beseech you to donate me a little money,even only $10. This is one lunch for you ,but it is mportant to me ,because I need it to collect money to do operation for my nearly blind wife with the least delay. I know that : there is no free lunch.
