In defense of Creation is designed a marquee for "the heavens declare God's majesty." Gary Heasell ~ 2004 Filled With His Glory The mountains declare His majesty, His delicacy fashions each flower, The canyons paint His glorious splendor, and thundrous waterfalls display His power. The oceans expose the plentitude of God, and snow suggests His purity white. With grains of sand of endless count, God's eternity is brought to light. Not to mention the woods, rivers, and valleys would add insight to this story, based on wondrous theme: The whole Earth is filled with His Glory Gary J. Heasell, 2003 <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< IN DEFENSE OF FREEDOM From whom do we attribute our freedom of worship? Of whom do we applaud for in the right to vote? It's the soldiers who gave their very lives. In honoring them, we take note. From whom were we given the freedom of speech by which every opinion is made? Give the credit for the right to assemble from the lives our heroes paid. Freedom should be viewed as a beloved treasure as long as our flag shall wave. And we, as Americans, gratefully declare, "Land of the free, and the home of the brave. Gary Heasell, 2003 <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< The storm appeared so violent as to subdue the disciples' will. Waken from His sleep, Jesus rose to his feet, and the wind and water He stilled. When storms of life seem overwhelming from uncertainities here or abroad. One significant verse to rely upon from the first "Be still, and know that I am God." Gary J. Heasell 2003 <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< Of Greater Preference Observe from a mountaintop God's beauty ~ a scenery of paradise. Yet, the ultimate display of God's greatness was conveyed when the Lord Jesus was sacrificed. Notice the awesomeness of God's power from the mighty roar of the sea. Yet, a greater design of power divine was at the Cross on Calvary. Gaze with wonder at the night sky God created with His Omnipotent Hands. Yet, the more glorious sensation for every generation ~ Jesus died for sinful man. In Him, all things were created. In Him, all things were disclosed. Yet, the greatest thrill of God's sovereign Will from the dead, Jesus arose. Gary J. Heasell, 2002 <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< They came in various sizes, shapes, and colors. Diversified were their backgrounds- in politics, in faiths, and in education. Their interests and hobbies may have differed, and so might have their skills and talents. Even their lifestyles varied, and both genders were involved. Yet, all of them had one purpose in mind: the urgency to have helped others with a passion of service, a soul for survival, a spirit of courage, and a will to defend freedom. And we hailed these men and woman as "heroes". Gary J. Heasell, 2002 (in dedication to the bravehearted of Sept. 11, 2001) <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< Our Nation Where has there been freedom of religion, color and race? Where has there been democracy whose government had initially embraced? Where can dreams ever come true to a stranger or to the poor? Where can one freely express himself= need I inquire more? America is so diversely cultured with dignity and pride. A nation, young as it is, having made unprecedented strides. A land encompassed with beauty, stretching from shore to shore of mountains, rivers, and valleys- need I say more? So blessed are we as Americans can show favor with a nod when pledging these words to the flag. "One nation, under God." Gary Heasell, July 4, 2002 <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< LIFE IS LIKE A TAPESTRY- DIVINELY INTERWOVEN. YET, IF ANYONE PERCEIVES LIFE, THREADED WITH KNOTS AND TANGLES, THEN THEY ARE MERELY SCANNING THE REVERSE SIDE OF GOD'S CREATIVE ART. Gary J. Heasell <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< ADORATION The Kingdom of His Christ- forever it shall be! To the Father of Creation, God of Eternity- All glory, and honor, and wisdom. All blessing, and power, and might. Thanksgiving and praise to Thee, dear God, worthy of our delight. Gary J. Heasell, 2001 <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< Americans~ people of different ages, of different races, of different languages, of different backgrounds, of different faiths, and of different opinions. But people, when tried, cry the same tears, feel the same pain, sense the same fear, support the same cause- revealing the same courage, embracing the same spirit, and with great pride, saluting the same flag of red, white, and blue. Gary J. Heasell, 9/11/01 <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< Life is like a jigsaw puzzle, much of what remains disassembled. Yet , the hope in Scripture reveals life's outcome, long before the whole picture is pieced together. Gary J. Heasell, 1999 <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< Of a kindred spirit- bonded, embraced by the Father's love- one in body, one in hope, a oneness in faith and in baptism.
