LEADERSHIP BOARD The OBCHE Leadership Board develops all policies and guidelines maintained by the group, and is charged with upholding the Gospel in all things related to OBCHE and its members. The Leadership Board is self-perpetuating and currently consists of seven voting members (a married couple shares one vote).
All Board members and Coordinators are required to sign the Statement of Faith.
Statement of Faith
- The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God.
- God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, was God come in human flesh, being fully God and fully man except without sin.
- Man is by nature sinful and is inherently in need of salvation.
- Christ’s death provides substitutionary atonement for our sins. He literally rose bodily from the dead.
- Salvation is offered as a gift – free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone.
- Children are a heritage from the Lord, entrusted to parents to train up in righteousness for His Glory.
