Stories about death, near death, death prevention
Pray about the time of death re: missing people.
Pray about choices each person makes. Especially the choice to acknowledge God's love for their repentance of sins. Pray that we each choose life.
Thank God for providing a place where there are no tears anymore--heaven.
Thank God for those who wipe the tears away there.
The concubine died. But her untimely death could have been prevented. The deaths in the war that followed could have been prevented too.
The wicked men would have died as a consequence of their crimes after a trial by all the tribes, but their tribe protected them.
2590 - 2 out of 3 travelers saved by friendly city man!
One was gang raped and left for dead by some of the wicked men of the city!
Father died. The widow was hounded by the creditors who wanted to take her children.
2591 Elisha wasn't always around...when creditors came for children.
Any truly persistent widow with an adversary would also have a judge and ally.
How could the forever "missing" babies by Herod be prevented? God sent warning dreams to Joseph. He left with his family.
Did the others not hear the warning dreams God sent them?
2607 A voice was heard...they are no more.
Herod's unavoidable order and the innocents.
The midwives prevented Moses' death, so he did not end up "missing" from his family or the Bible. They also saved other boys.
2608 Why have you done this? Why did you let the baby boys live?
Baby Moses and his life conspirators who all offered: "Take this baby."
Jesus was "missing" to many at the time of his death. Many were "missing" to Jesus. Pilate was not there. The women were at a distance.
Mary was with John. The other disciples had run away.
Jesus completed forgiving others before dying.
Then he was not missing anymore when he ressurected after 3 days.
2623 Mary was at a distance when Jesus was dying. Jesus' words were recorded. He forgave many. Mary must have been told. (Missing gamblers too!)
Naaman was very sick, with a dreaded skin disease that can kill early. He listened even to a little servant girl who talked about a holy man's healing power. That kept him not only from dying, but he was restored.
2624 Missing child with no say had quite some eloquence in another tongue!
She was trusted and blessed the household of her owners. Remember Joseph who was bought!
