RU-486 The Abortion Pill ![]() Think about it, when you "86" something, what does that mean? For instance, "86 these junk." 86 means to throw away, to toss into the garbage! Now are you for 86? (RU-486) RU-486 is NOT a contraceptive. It IS a chemical abortion! It must be used in the first 49 days of pregnancy. By this time, your baby has a beating heart. The baby's hands have five fingers each, and the feet five toes each. The baby can move its arms and legs, and the eyes and ears are easily distinguished. Make no bones about it this is a BABY! 2. It is not "a" pill, but a series of pills that will induce a chemical abortion, followed by several visits to the doctor for cervical exams. The first pill is, mifepristone, will deplete the lining of the uterus. It prevents progesterone in your body from working, and as that occurs, the blood supply to the developing baby will shut off and suffocate the baby to death. Two days later, you go back to the doctor's office to receive pill #2, prostaglandin, which is taken to induce labor, causing you to deliver your baby. (Few, if any, long term studies have been done on the effects of RU486, so there is no guarantees! There is NO TURNING BACK! Once you take pill#1, you have to go through with this! 3. Several hours after taking the first pill, you will start to feel nauseated. Then the cramps will start, and the bleeding will follow soon. You will not be able to keep anything down. The cramps and the bleeding will intensify. Panic may set in. The cramps will get very severe, and the bleeding will more than likely, be to heavy for a pad, so you will spend most of the time on the toilet. There will be no nurse, no doctor. This, you do on your own. Now, the cramps have increased to the point that you are terrified. Then, they will ease up. You may start to feel a little better. You get off the toilet, and there in the toilet, like so much filth, is your oh so small, but most assuredly, it is your baby. What do you do now? Flush you child away. 4. The next week you go back to the doctor for a cervical exam. He has to ensure that the abortion was complete. 5 to 20 percent of women STILL require a surgical abortion to complete the process. 5. On your way out, you will be given a list of possible side effects. They are: *Bleeding (up to a month) *Possible infection (RU-486 suppresses the immune system) *Possible hospitalization due to hemorrhaging *Possible miscarriage or birth defects of future children *Extreme sleep disturbances *Impaired fertility The list will go on, but you get the idea. Now, ask yourself, even if you don't want this child right now, even if you will be inconvenienced, is it worth it? What will you say years from now when you meet Mr. Right, and you have a child? What if that child has a birth defect? How do you tell your child you may have done this to her? It all comes down to one simple fact. You have choices. Your choice will affect the rest of your life. There is always a right choice. When is stopping a beating heart right? There are so many couples longing, aching for a child! They can give your baby the life it deserves, and you, can give your baby the greatest gift of all, LIFE!
