Dinner Blessing:

Almighty God - For the fellowship of these Compatriots (and ladies) as we gather, we are grateful. For a nation, wherein we enjoy freedom and liberty, purchased by the sacrifice of heroes, we are grateful. For being a part of an organization like the SAR, dedicated to remembering America's foundations, we are grateful. And for every blessing of food and drink and shelter and the gifts of God, we are most humbly thankful. May God bless the SAR! May God bless America.

Benediction: (After A Patriotic Program)

Almighty God - We are truly moved by today’s reminder of how truly great is our nation. We thank you for the blessing – We thank you for our liberty – We thank you for the legion of Patriots, whose sacrifice has secured that liberty – And we thank you for the young men and women, who even this day, wear the uniforms of this nation, going in harm’s way for our continued freedom. May God bless our State Society! And may God bless America. Amen!

Benediction: (After A Meeting)

Almighty God - The majesty of your creation is reflected in the beauty of this day; the joy of your peace has been reflected in the gentleness of your Presence among us; the truth of your unbiased heart is reflected in America's resolve to be a nation wherein all men are created equal. Your indescribable love is reflected in this gathering of Compatriots (and ladies), who share a mutual care for one another; for the SAR and for America. May God truly bless us until we meet again. And may God bless America.

Benediction: (General)

Almighty God - Creator, Redeemer and Preserver of all mankind, thank You for your blessing on the Georgia Society and upon our great nation. We most humbly give you our adoration. And for this gathering today, we are grateful. Keep us in the center of Your will and the palm of Your hand until we meet again. May God bless the SAR! And may God bless America.

And for this gathering today, we are grateful. Keep us in the center of Your will and the palm of Your hand until we meet again. May God bless the SAR! And may God bless America.

Benediction: (Adjournment Of A Meeting)

Almighty God - As we adjourn this meeting, we do so in a spirit of camaraderie and respect. Respect for one another; respect for America and her leaders; Respect for the Sons of the American Revolution and those goals for which she stands; and. above all, with a deep humility and desire for your love and care to keep us safe. Guard our nation, O God. Guard our travels back home this day. May God bless the SAR! And may God bless America.

Benediction: (Gravemarking)

Almighty God - To have been in the presence our Compatriots and friends has been a special joy; To have been in the presence of the hallowed names of fallen Compatriots; to have been in the presence of the accomplishments of the past; the faithfulness of the present; and our own dreams for the future has been a blessing of commitment. But to have been in the Presence of the Almighty God has truly been a blessing of humility and reverence. Thanks be to the Living God. May God bless the Georgia Society; and may God bless America.

Benediction: (Gravemarking)

Almighty God - It is the hope of our faith that this Compatriot -- Compatriot (Name)-- whom we have sought to honor and remember this day, is with You. And in that hope, we ask that You might send one of your messengers to find him among the Saints. And to whisper to him that we have paid tribute to his memory; to his sacrifice in the cause of liberty. Perhaps amidst all the wonder of glory henow enjoys, the knowledge that his life and sacrifice have not gone un-noticed; and that we have celebrated this day his courage in helping to purchase our freedom, will add to his heavenly joy. Father, as we leave this hallowed ground, we do so reminded that even at this moment, there are others, young men and women, who have wrapped themselves in America's flag, like the Patriots of old, pledging their lives and futures to answer the call to duty, honor and country. O God, keep safe our present day Patriots is our prayer. May God bless the SAR! And may God bless America.

Invocation: (Monument Or Marker)

Almighty God ..!! In this special moment -- on this special day – we humble ourselves in Your Presence. We thank you for the magnitude of your great blessing on this nation You have so graciously given us. We honor Your Name, knowing it is through your Divine grace we are sustained in the shadow of liberty.

May this monument reflect that grace as we are reminded of those citizen soldiers. Men, who were more comfortable with a plough than a musket. But men who answered the call to shoulder arms against tyranny. To those Revolutionary War soldiers -- America’s First Soldiers --- many of whose names have been lost to antiquity --- we pay deep and sincere tribute. To that long line of men and women, who followed after them; whose struggles and sacrifice have kept America free – we pay deep and sincere tribute. And to those, who even now, wear the uniforms of this nation fighting a war against terror with patriotic hearts, pride, integrity and courage, we pay deep and sincere tribute.

May God bless those who – throughout the ages -- have wrapped themselves in America’s flag to stand in her defense. And may God continue to bless America. Amen …

Invocation: (General)

Almighty God - In this day you have created, we are truly blessed. Blessed with living; blessed with a deep, abiding faith in You; blessed with liberty. For those Compatriots, whose dedicated lives, through your grace, gave us that liberty and freedom, we are exceedingly grateful. For those young men and women, who serve this nation in this present day, wrapped in the banner of freedom, we are grateful. For your everlasting love, we are grateful. In this quiet moment, we invoke your Presence among us. And for that Presence, we are grateful. May God bless the patriots of the Georgia Society. And may God bless America.

Invocation: (General)

Almighty God - What an amazing providence of God to be a citizen of the greatest nation on earth. And to be a recipient of the courage and strength of our Forefathers, whose sacrifice became the foundation of our liberty. As we now take the torch of freedom from those Compatriots of old, we ask Your blessing, O God. Give us the desire to walk in their steps; to match their love of liberty; and to lift high the light of dedication, the flag of our heritage and the joy of our service. May God bless the SAR! And may God bless America.

Invocation: (City Council

Almighty God - In this day you have created, we are truly blessed. Blessed in its beauty; blessed with a deep, abiding faith in You; blessed with liberty. May God bless those in this room, who with patriotic zeal give this community faithful leadership. May God bless the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution, whose goal is to stir up America’s memory of patriot heroes; May God bless the memories of those who stood with courage and determination at Lexington and Concord. And May God bless America.

Invocation: (Gravemarking)

Almighty God - In whom there is no passing of time. We gather here in this hallowed place to remember a life which passed this way -- by our reckoning of time -- long, long ago, the life of (Name). A life wherein burned the passion of liberty! A life wherein the call to duty; the call to sacrifice; the call to stand fast in the face of danger and the cause of freedom was answered with honor and integrity. Today, Lord, we honor this Compatriot. And neither the turning of the earth, nor the passage of time, will dim the tribute we pay. It is in our hope and faith this moment, O Lord of Creation, that all we do here this day will be made sacred -- first by the memory of (Name), a long ago Compatriot in liberty. But -- moreover -- by the Presence of our God. We humble ourselves before You. May God bless the SAR. May God bless America.

Invocation: (Memorial Day)

Almighty God! In all the earth there is no greater nation than America. Your blessing has caused her to be that city shining on a hill, bringing the truth of freedom and liberty to the world. But it has not been without cost. The price has been paid in blood, sweat and tears for the cause of independence and the freedoms we all take so for granted. Forgive us, Oh God, for our assumptions of your blessing ..!!

On this consecrated day, create in our generation an infinite desire to walk in the hallowed, bloody footprints of Valley Forge; to walk in the blood-soaked sands of Normandy’s beaches, on the jungle trails of Tarawa and Okinawa, down the frozen foot paths of Korea and across the ambushed-laced rice paddies of Vietnam. From Afghanistan to Iraq and wherever else men and women stand ready to lay down their lives to save ours, Lord, give us the courage to defend, the will to win and the stamina to stay the course.

Lord, to every man and woman with you today, whose life has been lived as an investment in America, we give thanks. Send your angel messengers to find each of them; to whisper in their ears that their sacrifice has not gone unnoticed. And that here today, we stand in awe of their greatness that made America great. May we carry the torch they have laid aside with a sense of their integrity and the memory of their victory cry of duty, honor, country.
May God bless America. Amen!
