Twelve Ways to Worship God
|
Heavenly Father we thank You for Your love. We thank You Jesus for the love you showed us on the cross. It is in Your Word that from the beginning, we should love one another. May there be Peace and Love on Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
next month I will begin to share on the Fruits of the Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit.
Now I would like to share the devotion for this month with you.
God commands his people to worship him, and to give him the honor due to him for who He is, for the world he has created, for his work of redemption through Jesus Christ, and for his blessings and gifts. God is not interested in out ward forms of worship; he is only interested in praise that comes from the HEART, True God Centered worship is reflected in a life lived to honor him. The Psalms are filled with eloquent words of worship and praise to the Lord.
In the New Testament, Christians joined together to worship God. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, they sang hymns and palms of praise to the Lord. Paul and Silas even praised him when they were imprisoned.
However, the Bible also teaches that Worship is not simply restricted to life on earth. In heaven, the great hosts of angels worship the Lord, and when the entire church is finally redeemed, God’s whole creation will praise and worship him forever (Ps. 29; 136; Acts 43-47; Col.3:16; Rev. 15.
1) Meet regularly with other Christians to honor God… (.Acts. 2:46-47)
“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
2) Proclaim the word of God. (1 Ti.4:13)
“Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.” 1TIMOTHY 4:13
3) Respond in gratitude to the word of God (Ex.24:3)
“And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the Lord hath said will we do”.
4) Celebrate communion. (Ac. 2:46)

5) Observe Christian creeds. (1Co.11:2)
“Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.”
6) Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. (Eph. 5:19)
“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”
7) Pray in the Spirit. (Eph. 6:18)
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
8) Present your whole person to God (Ro.12:1)
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
9) Offer a sacrifice of praise (Heb.13:15)
“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
10) Confess the name of God (Heb. 13:15)
“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
11) Do good (Heb.13:16)
“But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”
12) Share with others (Heb.13:16)

I pray that what I have felt lead to share with you has helped you in some way and been a blessing .May the Lord bless these words.
My heart’s desire and prayer to God for you is that if you are not saved, you will be. Do not put it off. Boast not of tomorrow. If you are not sure----Make Sure! Call upon the Lord while there is yet time God; I realize I am a lost sinner with out Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. Please forgive me I pray and help me to be what you want me to be. Thank you for forgiving me and giving me new life.’ Amen
Now if you have prayed this prayer and (meant it from your heart) you are born again and saved…You are a child of God…Find a good church to worship at and meet with other Christians. Read the Bible for this is the inspired Word of God and will help you to grow spiritually. God bless you and congratulations, welcome to the family of God.
