Pakistan is the third largest Islamic nation in the world with more than 150 million souls. 97.2 % of the population is Muslim. Christians make up 2 % of the population and suffer more than any other ethnic or religious group. Pakistan is in the very heart of the 10/40 windows, the geographic area where 95 % of the un-reached people of the world live. Between India and Afghanistan, Pakistan is a strategic nation. After the September 11 attack, Pakistan has become the focus of the world. Pakistan is a country with different cultures, languages, people groups, economical backgrounds etc. Pakistan has a desperate need for assistance in evangelism, Church planting, literature outreach, leadership training and strengthening the local Church. 97 % of the newly planted churches and new believers need a place to worship and fellowship. A shortage of Bibles, Gospel literature, faith-based books, leaders and training material makes it difficult for Christians in Pakistan to grow in their faith and sustain relationship with Christ. More than a half of Pakistan's population has never heard about Jesus. Pakistan is an Islamic country, ruled by Islamic law. Christians of Pakistan make a quite sizeable population with more than ten million souls. But they have to face religious discrimination, religious intolerance, oppression, social subjugation and economic deprivation. Therefore Christians are less privileged and backward. A growing body of believers continually struggles under government persecution, because it is officially illegal for Muslims to convert to Christianity. Since the country's blasphemy law was created in 1991, an offended Muslim can accuse a Christian on almost any grounds. False and arbitrary accusations of speaking against the Quran or Muhammad are a common practice by Muslim fundamentalists. In the persecuted environment of Pakistan, 90 % churches are not much established. Majority of existed churches need buildings for fellowship, they meet in open air. Native missionaries make great sacrifices for the sake of the Gospel. Many times they go without food and travel hundreds of kilometers just to bring the good news of Jesus Christ. In some parts of Pakistan, Muslim fundamentalists attack on them and forced to put off their work as well as faith. Please keep them in your prayers as they seek to faithfully serve the Lord. Islam may be the greatest challenge before the Church in this century, but it may also represent the largest potential harvest. There are one and one-quarter billion Muslims in the world, nearly 25% of the world population. Most have never heard the Gospel of God's grace in Christ Jesus. Instead they follow a religion based entirely on works and judgment. If we don't bring the grace of God into that world, the hostilities of this decade will only grow and intensify. CAN Ministries is playing a vital role in this ministry. We are approaching to those who are neglected, abused, hopeless, and homeless living in very dangerous and critical situation. We are visiting them twice a week and share the Word of God with them and in future we are interested to launch primary schools for their better and prosperous future. CAN Ministries is running many Sunday Schools to providing sound Biblical knowledge in interesting way. 5- YOUTH MINISTRY Youth is the area where many ministries are not paying attention. Therefore Youth is almost vanished from churches. But for us they are a real gift for our ministry. They are working with us in various fields. And they are an inspiration for the next generation. We organized Youth Rallies, Cricket Tournaments, Bible Quiz and other interesting programs to keep them bust to learn the Bible from different means. Bible study is our main tool to bring them back into the Churches. CAN Ministries have provided the plate form to youth to do some good things according to the Biblical standards! 6- WOMEN'S MINISTRY For years, Women in Pakistan have been denied privilege of human right i.e. economic, social, civil, religious and political. They are denied not only the right to education, but also the right to decide matters relating to their marriages and divorce. Often abuses are compounded: poor girls and women are trafficked and subject to forced marriage, forced prostitution or exploitative work situations such as bounded labor. These deprivations are manifestations of discrimination against women and girls in Pakistan. Gender relationship is very traditional and many a times comes as an obstacle for development and equality of women. We are thank full God that in our ministry women are conducting meetings, organizing different programs and also involved in training the youth and children. We are also working to uplift their living standard. And for these purposes we have launch Stitching Schools, Beautician Courses, hand made art courses etc. 7- OUT REACH MINISTRY Out reach Ministry is our great inspiration. We have evangelistic teams and send them in different areas. We distribute free Holy Bibles in local languages, tracks and literature. We also use the medical camps, adult education gifts etc. as tool to reach those people. It is our heartily desire to win whole Pakistan for our Savior Jesus Christ. This can only happen when we fulfill the great commission, when we learn the will of God . 8- CONVENTION/CRUSADES Conventions, Crusades, Seminars and Conferences are the tools for mass Evangelism. And we don't want to miss any opportunity to share the Good News of the Bible. CAN Ministries organize these conventions, crusades, seminars and conferences in different parts of the Pakistan and invite hundreds of people to attend these programs. And in the programs hundreds of people come to God and accept Jesus Christ their personal Savior. 9- PASTORAL NETWORKS Unity Obedience and love are the three basic keys to open the door of heaven. And unfortunately these three elements are missing in the Churches and among the Pastors. Rather than love, peace, unities Pastors are nurturing the jealousy, hate, backbiting and busy in leg pulling. We have to evangelize the whole world but we are wasting our times in this way. We have a strong and good Pastoral Network across Pakistan. And we conduct fellowship meetings on interdenominational base every month in different parts of Pakistan. In these fellowships we pray for one another's needs. And God has blessed us all because CAN Ministries provides the free bicycles; motor cycles, Evangelism Kits and different evangelical resources for the extension of the Gospel. The reason of this is that mostly Pastors are working full time as a minister and they have to feed their children and go into remote areas. So we take care of their needs. Because our believe is that united we stand and together we can win Pakistan for Christ. It is in the top of list of third world country because of its illiteracy rate, which is only 39%. Because to uplift any underdeveloped country the education plays a vital role. And as you know that Pakistan is well known for its extremism and "Madras's (Islamic Schools)" so we intend to change this picture. Dearest in Christ, Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I am Mrs marilyn wells. from Kuwait. I am married to Mr. johnson wells who worked with Kuwait embassy in Ivory Coast for nine years before he died in the year 2004.We were married for eleven years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days.Before his death we were both born again christian. Since his death I decided not to remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is against.When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of US$3.5million dollars in a Bank here in Abidjan Cote d'Ivoire. Presently, this money is still in bank.Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next Eight months due to cancer problem. The one that disturbs me most is my stroke sickness. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to a charity organization that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct herein. I want an organization that will use this fund for orphanages, school and church ,widows, propagating the word of God and to endeavor that the house of God is maintained. The Bible made us to understand that "Blessed is the hand that giveth".I took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and I don't want my husband's efforts to be used by unbelievers. I don't want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly way. This is why I am taking this decision. I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that "the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace". I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health hence the presence of my husband's relatives around me always.
