Alpha Fire Company was awarded the "Most Valuable Team Award" at Operation Shining Shield held at Boss Paintball in Charlotte, NC. Thanks to "Willie" from ODX who was our General for the event for the recognition. We appreciate it! This is AFC's second Most Valuable Team award.
Alpha Fire Company was asked to Command the 120th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment (Warsaw Pact Forces) during the 2007 Fulda Gap Mega Game at Command Decisions Paintball in Taylorsville, North Carolina. Warsaw Pact Forces won the event. Team AFC was recognized by Warsaw Pact Forces General David Thompson, Jr. (Capital Offense) for meritorious service during the event.
Alpha Fire Company was again asked to Command the 120th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment during the 2008 Fulda Gap Mega Game. In the most lopsided victory to date, the Warsaw Pact forces brought home another victory. Go Pact!
On May 3, 2009, AFC participated in the Vietnam Patrol game at the Command Decisions Warfare Center, helping to finally win the event for the Communist NVA for the first time.
AFC has respectfully declined to lead the 120th Guards at Fulda Gap 2009. After successfully completing our objective last year, we are looking for a different challenge this year. Therefore, AFC will be moving over to the 117th for Fulda Gap '09. We will be serving under "Wingman" from Tango/Alpha 2.
