BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CHURCH

I Rev Dr leader UNWE obeyed the Lord in 1998 when He told me to start a new work, Blessed Assurance Church (BAC). This happened after I have worked with
Him in other Churches / Ministries for sixteen (16) years full time preaching.

I started Blessed Assurance Church in Gwagwa Federal Capital Territory (FCT). First Sunday we were seven members in the service. The lord started adding to us at the time of demolition the church increase was two hundred and
Thirty (230) members in 27/08/2006. The auditorium of four hundred and fifty (450), mission house, offices together with branches within the Federal Capital territory (FCT) were all demolished by the Honorable Minister of the federal capital Territory, Malam El-Rufia. At the estimated cost of US$18,000

I need assistance for RE-PLANTING of the CHURCH. I am face with problem of a place of worship, office accommodation, children education, health and the feeding. We are a family of seven persons

These are some of the challenges I have.

MASTER'S VESSEL CHURCH, KARMO-ABUJA

The Master's Vessel Church Karmo-Abuja was planted in the year 1990 by Rev Timoty Uttara and 8 other members of the church that came from Umuahia in Abia State, Nigeria where the headquarters of the church was located. They committed so much time to the work, to see that church grew. They erected a church building that cost $25,000. The membership of the church grew up to 510 members in 2006 before the Honourable Minister ordered the demolition of the church in 2006.

As at now, members are worshipping God under a broken down church and some has left as a result of this problem. Our mission house was also demolished, thereby causing an untold hardship on the Pastors and Assistant Pastors of the church.

We require support to re-plant the church again in Abuja, the federal capital territory of Nigeria. We require the sum of $15,000 to start up a new church. We lack church accommodation, house accommodation for pastors, food, health, clothing and medical support for our pastors now. Please help us.

GOD'S GOSPEL HERITAGE MISSION, IDU-ABUJA
P.O. BOX 12727 WUSE ABUJA, NIGERIA

SENIOR PASTOR: REV (DR) LORDSDAY MICHAEL

The above named and I started addressed ministry with the help of God on 5th March 1995 at Idu Industrial Layout, Abuja. The initial membership was 11 excluding the kids. By then we were using the L.E.A. Primary School classroom. We later acquired a land and built our church cathedral in 1997.

By the year 2006 we had grown to 350 members, then the church was demolished. Also, our branch at Tasha, Gwagwa-Abuja was also demolished four months later. Presently, no place of fellowship.

Effect of Demolition: As a result of the demolition, I and my family of 7 could not afford a flat to stay except a friend of mine allowed us to manage with him in a warehouse where he is holding services and that is where we are till now. Right now, my children's education has stopped for lack of funds. My Assistant Pastor who handled the branch church at Gwagwa-Abuja and his family have left my ministry since I could no more pay his stipends. I need some financial assistance to re-build the church.

Cost of land and building of the demolished church is $30,000. We are requesting for kind support from interested churches and international organisations to re-build the church and also to help in getting a new accommodation for the Pastors and support for my children education. The cost of re-building is appropriately $35,000

CHURCH HISTORY:

The church was planted in 1989 at Idu Primary School. We had in attendance 10 worshippers both children and adults. After some months of worshipping at the school hall, we were able to by a land in 1991 for the church which measures about 2500 sqm. After buying the land we started building in 1991 and completed the building in 1993. The church building cost us $25,000.

This church was demolished by the Federal Capital Territory Development Authority under the leadership of a Muslim Minister ¨C Malam El-Rufai in 2005. During the demolition the church has total worshippers of 400 members excluding the children. The building was a 3000 seater auditorium. As demolished was our church mission house. Presently, we are squatting in a one room apartment with my family members. We cannot afford to pay for a nice apartment now.

REQUEST:

As a result of the demolition, the church lost its place of fellowship and mission house for the pastors. In view of the foregoing, therefore, we are soliciting for support for fund for the re-planting of the church in Kuje-Abuja. We have been able to secure a good land in the government reserved area of the Kuje Area Council in Abuja and we are now looking for money for the development of the church building. We are looking for the sum of $30,000 to put the church building standing. We also require support for the building of the mission house. We require evangelism equipment, welfare support for church members and many others.

CHRIST FOR THE WORLD MISSION INC
Garki-Abuja

CHURCH HISTORY:

The Church was planted in 1982 with 8 people in attendance at a temporary site in Garki Area 1 popularly known as church village.

It continues to grow until the first demolition in year 2000. At the time of demolition, the church has average of 70 people in attendance and has since applied for permanent site in July 1984, a request which has not been granted to this day.

Despite the set back caused by the demolition, the church continue with her work of gathering souls for the kingdom until the final demolition which took place on 23 January 2007, at the time of this demolition the church has average of 50 people in attendance.

Presently, the church is using victorious garden in zone 7, Abuja an open place for her worship.

Our request therefore is assistance so we could have a permanent place of worship to enable us gather again our displaced members. We required the sum of $15,000 for the re-planting of the church.

A.K.A HOME OF DELIVERANCE
ANGWAN CEMENT, KADO LIFE CAMP, F.C.T-ABUJA.

The establishment of the ministry was purely under the divine direction of the Holy Spirit through God¡¯s calling and ordination upon my life.

The ministry formerly took off in November, 2000 with eight members. After six months, the ministry was registered with Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (P.F.N) and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Gwarinpa, Abuja zones.

With times the membership rose to fifty before the first demolition which gave way to EFAB estate took place in September 2004 and the church was relocated to another site in the same Angwan Cement, Abuja which the building cost me $15,000

On the year 2005 membership increased to one hundred and fifty.

On 1st September, 2006, both the church and the mission house wee demolished with the over two hundred members losing both their place of worship and of abode, which cost both the mission house N$20,000. This caused the disintegration of the ministry presently I and members of my family are squatting in a pastor friend¡¯s house while waiting on the Lord for the provision of money to purchase a piece of land for a new church building and a mission house.

For now my children could not go to school any more and the whole family is finding difficult for shelter and feeding due to the effect of demolition and the total cost of the two church building and the mission house is $25,000

The Church, Redeemed Peoples Mission as a branch church stated at Gwagwa-Tasha area of Abuja with Pastor Joseph Ekeoma as pastor with four persons in the year September 5th 2004.

Before the demolition on August 31st 2006 the church membership have grown to 96 persons - adult 63, yout 14 and children 19.

The cost of the building that was demolished was $14,000

Due to the demolition and scattering of members to some other parts of the city, I finds it very difficult on bringing them to fellowship, visiting them from time to time, I and my family are going far distances to the new area where we are trying to relocate. Indeed it has not been easy at all if not of His grace

I am therefore appealing for assistance of $20,000 to cover land and re-planting of the church hall.

Pastor Ekeoma Joseph

REDEEMED PEOPLE'S MISSION INC

The above mentioned church was one of the fastest growing church within the area, with the numerical strength of 82 members until August 2006 when the church was affected by the ugly demolition exercise, and the members scattered and the pastor forced out of location.

Right now wer are trying to re-plant the church were majority of the members are relocated to, and this will engulf about $19,000(dollars) to establish the structure there, this looks almost impossible because of the biting situation that exists after the demolition exercise. We solicit for a serious help if possible.

The Starting History of the Church.

I was transferred from Kafanchan to come and open the branch, because we have not any branch at karom by then in the year 1993. I started with house fellowship in somebody’s parlour with three (3) members on the last Sunday of June, 1993. I was there only with two lamps and two pulpit chairs, given to me by the mission and started till the time demolition get to our church.

I only give a short story of the church not all because it will be a book of its own.

Membership Strength Before the Demolition

I thanked the Lord. For before the demolition, we have grown to three hundred and fifty (350) members. We all know that the growth in the Northern State are not the same as in the other states because, most of them in the North are Moslems.

The Inconvenience Cause By The Demolition

It was not easy for me and my family, it was a family that helped us with the place we squatted for two months and one week. The demolition scatted all the members and displaced them, on one cared for each other again, because, everyone was on the run. It is that after all the years of labour, we started afresh again.

I am now 60 years old, and you know that when I was younger I was able to achieve all these things, now it is not the same, so please I need your assistance and for the future of my children I have a family of eight.

Please the condition now is terrible with us because of the demolition. The years I laboured to be able to build the auditorium and office blocks and the personage was not a thing of one or two years and to make it better place for e to come in and worship. Please I need your help.

Now the demolition has carried me to Niger State where I started a new work with the new address CHRISTIAN PENTECOSTAL MISSION INT’L MOROCCO Venture Suleja, Niger State. P.O. Box 79 Suleja.

The Church Auditorium personage of three bedrooms flat and Nine Room Office blocks, all this cost = $40,000 (forty thousand US dollars) only. This do not include the Generator House and the generator itself and other things.

When You Stared The Church, How Many Did You Start With?

I started with three (3) members only.

Thanks

Signed:

GRACE EVANGELICAL MISSION (GEM)
Cemetery Road Jiwa

History of grace evangelical mission Jiwa, Abuja
The senior pastor, John Aroni had encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, he said to me, go and preach the message of my second coming that many have not know him, he said the purpose of his delay to come is because He died for all and he want all to come to know him.

This vision was the reason I went to Bible school in 1998-1999 at kaduna state Nigeria. Before then I was an usher in the church I worship.

Grace Evangelical Mission came to be in 1st September 2003, with 13 soul plus children which later grows to 50 people as of the time of demolition.

The church started in private school for one year before the Lord visited us and we bought a land, and the building project started. In Feb. 2006 the church decided to build the pastor’s house because of the high rent, and it was finished in April 28th 2006. The pastor and the family pack in. before the demolition of the area.

Grace Evangelical Mission is committed to her vision through house to house evangelism, film shows, evangelism to rural areas and organizing crusades.
After demolition – the members were scattered to different places. The pastor and few members relocated to Kuje Area council in order to continue with the assignment. I am married with three (3) children.

Problems we encounter now is financial difficulties to buy a land for the mission work, raising a worship center, buying of film projector for film shows in rural areas and mission bus to ease the transportation problem. We need $30,000.00 to meet up with some of this ministerial need.
Signed,
Senior pastor
John Aroni

BIBLE CHRISTIAN REVIVAL MINISTRIES

A FAMILY THAT LOVES AND CARES
TASHA-GWAGWA, ABUJA, NIGERIA

NAME OF PASTOR: REV. PEACE CHIDI LAZARUS
The pastor is a native of Umuerim Nsirimo, Umuahia South Local Government Area in Abia State.

I was converted to the Christian faith, born again, baptized by immersion and filled with the Holy Spirit January and July 1976 at Umuahia town. By the later months of the same year I received the call to preach the Gospel as an Evangelist. I began the ministry the same year in my little way as a young Christian and minister of the gospel. Opened some Christian groups in some villages for discipleship by Gods grace.

I have being trained in a Bible College with a Diploma in Theology 1982-1985. I served as a full-time pastor with the Apostolic Church Igbo field of Nigeria from 1982-1993 and resigned as a district Pastor.

I have being as well trained in missions as a church planter and have served in missions from 1993-1999 at Abuja Taraba, Benue, Plateau and Kogi States of Nigeria as a missionary evangelist.

Brief History of the Church:
The church started as a house fellowship in one of our living rooms with 20 adults members and 15 children, a total of 35 persons in number. As the church numerical strength grew as well as the spiritual we left from using our living room at Karmo Abuja to a nearby secondary school.

And in 2001 we grew to about 100 adult members, that motivated us to look for a land for church building and personage which God by His grace provided for us.

Now, before the demolition, the church reduced to about 80 members due to some members left for marriage, while some because of the nature of their jobs and some because of unbearable hardship and displacement caused by the demolition.

Cost of 1st Building:

The demolition came to us at the middle of January 2006, when we were about completing the church building. We have already had a personage with 3 bedroom flat and office which were all demolished.
All these cost us about ($ 15,000) Two million eight hundred thousand naira.

Cost of Rebuilding:

1. Cost of the land for rebuilding with approved documents - $ 11,000
2. Cost of rebuilding the church auditorium - $ 15,000
3. Cost of rebuilding the personage (3 bedroom) - $ 12,500

TOTAL - $ 38,500

From the record above, it will take us not less than $38,500 to get a land with approved certificate and rebuilding the church auditorium and personage at a searchlight town in Federal Capital Territory or a nearby state like Nasarawa state by God’s grace.

Affect of Demolition on the family:
1. My wife’s business through which she used to help the church and the family crumbled away .
2. Hazardous environment that has caused health hazard in my family. Because we have not been able to relocate to a better place, the health of my wife and children is attacked.
3. Lack of proper and adequate meal for the family.
4. The children school fees and other bills are not yet paid. The one to go to a higher school or university not yet admitted.
5. The family is indebted to the turn of $2000 yet to be paid.

At the moment, were we rented for fellowship, the owner is threatening us to move out hence we could not pay the rentage, we are now at a fix but still looking unto Jesus. We write to appeal to you to assist us financially because we want to buy a land and erect a building for the Church were the members can worship God. We need about 10,000 dollars.
I attach herewith some of my family pictures and Church buildings that was demolished.
Once again, we earnestly appeal for your quick respond because the Church is in a dilemma at the moment just like the Church that was in Macedonia (Acts 16:9). Thanks and God bless you.
Yours faithfully

BALANCED CHRISTIAN LIFE REVIVAL MISSION
a. k. a. Gospel Standard World Outreach

ABOUT THE GENERAL OVERSEER
My name is Rev. Michael Abiodun Oluwalade. I am married with Children.
I am the General overseer of the Church.
In 1987, I was called into the ministry. The Lord gave me the mandate to go and preach the BALANCED GOSPEL to the whole world. And to give mandate to the whole churches worldwide that the Lord is coming for a BALANCED CHURCH. The vision came into actualization when the Lord spoke to me to come to Abuja.
SINCE MY CONVERSION IN 1982, MY MAJOR INVESTMENT IN LIFE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON SOULS AND ON CHRISTIAN MATERIALS FOR EDIFICATION OF BELIEVERS.
MOST OF THESE MATERIALS WERE BROUGHT DOWN SUDDENLY DURING THIS DEMOLITION! READ THE FULL STORY.
ABOUT THE CHURCH
My Evangelistic work in Abuja began on 24th of December, 1994 when I came over to Abuja solely for Gospel Work.
Abuja is our primary place of call to start the work from in order to reach unto the whole world. We started at Idu-karmo powerfully where the greatest population of Abuja resident dwells before demolition.
As it is well known, no vision can survive without sharing, I met with some ministers in Abuja and share the vision with them, and the resultant effect was that MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION OF BALANCED CHRISTIAN LIFE was formed. About hundred pastors come together to uphold the preaching of balanced gospel.
All these Pastors were scattered with there churches, houses and offices demolished.
ABUJA CITY IN BRIEF
Our ministry context is the city of Abuja our Nation’s Capital. It is a new city designed by land planners as the legislative Capital. It has new freeways and spectacular buildings in down town. Abuja covers many square miles and is about 40 to 50 miles across.
Land is very costly the closer you get to the city centre, so new comers cluster is the out reaches where new housing estates have been planned. The orderly growth and planning of the city is being overtaken by the extent of the migration and thousands of people have put up buildings though the lands were bought from the indigines which they have later made more permanent.
In an attempt to rectify the situation the government initiated a process of massive demolition. This was designed to restore the present state of the city to its original design. This has been a catastrophe. Bulldozers were called in to mercilessly oliterate every structure that was deemed illegal. The following demolition has made over 1,000,000 people homeless, it destroyed places of work and recreation and even schools. Over 300 churches were demolished. The restoration and rebuilding of Christian ministry replanting of churches is now a primary challenge for us.
EFFECT OF DEMOLITION ON OUR CHURCH
Members of our church were rendered homeless without place to lay their heads upon, with their shops and means of likelihood gone. In the process some died.
We have Christian library which serve the members as well as the Idu –Karmo Christian populace. which contains Christian books and films(with film projector reels from Billy Graham Evangelistic Team , Audio and Video Tapes, magazines and other Christian materials worth over $20,000 were transferred into a sigle room which was not possible. We end up leaving some outside with covering.
As the General Overseer of the church, no house to live, I was forced to move to one room with my wife in pregnancy with other dependants. Since there was no money to pack to another location. Nothing to do than to take the one room in one of the indigines house. The effect of this demolition upheaver led to my wife been sick with 6 months old pregnancy. We spent over $3000 in hospital with the mother and the baby transferred to another hospital. When I was in the Hospital for three months shuttling between the two hospitals, Serious erosion broke the room wall at the backwall and the erosion flooded the whole room. Because the room was locked up, and the back blocked , no one knew what has happened. My clothing, wears, my properties were destroyed with this horrible erosion. On coming back from hospital rejoicing for relief, only to meet with another shock and tragedy. THAT DAY I USED WISDOM TO TAKE MY WIFE TO ANOTHER LOCATION to avoid another shock on her.
THE ONLY CONSOLATION THAT CAME TO ME THEN WAS THAT I BROUGHT NOTHING TO THIS WORLD AND I AM GOING WITH NOTHING. I will like to stop the whole story here because, the effect of the demolition is actually unspeakable. Over $50,000 worth materials
We are appealing to whosover is led of the spirit to assist us in RE-PLANT our church as well as to fulfill our calls. We however presently need $50,000 to start the church and re-start our Public Christian library Outreach in an approved location. This is so because standard of living is somehow high, if one is to be at approved and secured and undisturbed location
Thanks and God bless. Contact the above address for assistance.

LIVING WORD OF FAITH CHURCH ABUJA NIGERIA.
(LIFE WINNERS CHAPEL KURUDU FCT)

MY MINISTRY BEFORE DEMOLITION
About my call:- I rev IYK praise okorie received my call into the ministry before February 7th 1984 at EZIRA in ORUMBA south. L.G.A of ANAMBRA state. I worked with prominent ministries in this country almost 2 decades before the holy Spirit sent me to the city of Abuja where I started a new work.
About the church:- the church started in Abuja here in the year 1999 in the month of February at Karu site with few numbers of people including my wife and my children, by the grace of God increase rapidly to the building of six hundred auditorium seaters with a passonage and I was blessed with very good attendants on our service days.
The church was then civil servants, businesses men and women, students, and families etc. this was the stage and the level of the church before it was interrupted by demolition squared of former minister of FCT Malam Nasiru-Elrufai who shew no concern for compensation or relocation. We are about 32 church buildings in 1 area at karu site that was scattered at the same moment. That was February 15 2005.
Since no where was found for the church the members scattered, I had no other choice than to move to an interior area called KURUDU along karshi road in the same FCT Abuja.
There I started afresh with new members of about 40 presently both children. The lord is at work here in KURUDU but the problem we face is accommodation, the open place we are using now need to put shelter and where I am staying with my family presently was sold out, quit notice have been given to me the place which 4 months grace has given to me that will expire on September ending 2007, I don’t know where to pack to.
There is harvest of soul in this KURUDU but facilities and capital has become 1 of our major need.
May the almighty God rewards stefanos foundation greatly as you assist us to remain faithful to the call and the work of God in this Abuja Nigeria.
To God be the glory amen. Rev. Iyk P. Okorie
