Welcome
Cullen's Testimony
Chrisie had health issues to the extent that we were told that she could not have a family on her own, little did they
know that God was going to see fit that we would have a family, and eventually have two precious sons.
Cullen came into this world in 2003. Shorty after the birth, we were given the news that he was going to have to be flown about four hours from our home, Chrisie had just had a C-Section and had to stay behind, so my parents and I took off in our mini van to New Orleans.
One of the most trying times in my life, no knowing if our son, the child we had been longing for, was going to survive.
We arrived at the hospital, and found out that they had put him on medication to keep him alive, but he would have to undergo heart surgery the next week.
I left New Orleans to go and get my wife out of the hospital, and bring her to see our new baby.
The day before the labor, we were making preparations at our home for our baby, a friend of ours told us that God didn't bring us this far to leave us alone. Little did we know just how much those words would be true, no idea what that Cullen would be born in a critical condition.
We arrived in New Orleans and Cullen was taken into surgery,
A while later the surgeon's nurse came out and told us that he was fine, what we thought was wrong with him, wasn't,
they were able to place a shunt in his heart so he could grow and get his strength, God was still in control!
Instead of full blown open heart surgery at a week old,
he could wait a little while! His condition was still very serious, but not as serious as we initially thought.
Cullen was still in the hospital a week or so later, and he would fall asleep while eating, his oxygen sats were well below normal, and he would turn blue, once again, we were afraid that we were going to loose him. Another week went by, and another, he still wasn't doing better.
We cried out to God "Please heal him Lord!" "If it be Thy will, please spare him!" I was taken back to a message that
I heard a couple of years ago on Abraham and Issac, God didn't want Issac, He wanted Abraham,on of the things He did was test Abraham, to see his faith and obedience.
After praying in the hospital chapel alone, I went back to the room and asked our guest to leave for a moment, and on my knees with my wife and son, I called out to God once again, and surrended my all to Him.
A week later they did an Eco on Cullen and found out that the shunt had narrowed. God was showing the doctors the problem so they could fix it. He underwent a heart cath, where a stint was placed in the shunt to open it, and a week later we all went home.
Nine months later Cullen had his major surgery a week later, we were released to go home!
A month out of surgery, I was still unemployed, Cullen was placed in a local hospital with a bacterial infection, which can damage the procedure that was done to his heart.
We were told that his new valve was leaking, that was about all we knew at that time. We were devistated.
We also owed a bunch of tithe that we hadn't paid, and felt convicted of it, to the point that we felt judged by God, that we need to pay it, I called Bro.Paul the pastor of the church that we were visiting at the time, and asked him to come over. That night we paid our tithe, he didn't want to take it, but we knew we had to pay it, in order to get right with God. Now I was out of work, she was out of work, in the hospital not knowing was going to happen next, and virtually broke! God saw our obedience, and a few days later Cullen got better and we were going home!
Withing two weeks, we recieved, through diffent places, everything that we paid in tithe, you can't out give God,
you can't go wrong when you obey God.
I eventually went back to work. Cullen is now four years old and lives pretty much a normal childs life. Thank You Lord for your Blessings on US!
There is so much more that we could share with you but
