Plan of Salvation
The ABC 's of Salvation:
A - Admit you are sinner.
It doesn't matter how great your job is, how much money you make, or how "perfect" your home-life may be. The Bible says "for all have sinned..." (Romans 3:23).B - Believe that Jesus can forgive your sins.
Maybe you believe you can work your way into heaven by doing good deeds or following the teachings of Buddha, Muhammad, or Krisna. But the Bible says there is only one way, and that's to "believe in the Lord Jesus..." (Acts 16:31).C - Confess your sins to God.
Nobody is perfect; we all make mistakes, but asking forgiveness from the person you've wronged isn't enough to get you into Heaven. The Bible says we can only go to heaven "if we confess our sins [to God]..." (1 John 1:9).
Here's a simple prayer. If it helps, ask someone to say this with you:
"Dear Jesus, I believe that you are God's Son and that you died on the Cross for my sins. I confess am a sinner and need to be forgiven.
"Please forgive me for my sins so I will be washed clean. I ask you to come into my life. I now receive you as my Lord and Savior.
"Thank you for forgiving my sins. Thank you for giving me new life. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me strength to follow you. Amen."
