GETTING HIGH
When I was younger some kids added new meaning to "Kissing a lot of toads". I heard on a news network that there are some kind of frogs out there that you can lick to get high. The bad news was that some got really sick, and some frogs are very poison.
Now the sad thing about people who are looking for ways to get high is that once they find a way, they have to keep buying stronger drugs, and better ways to use them. The drugs become more expensive, so crime rises so some punk can afford them, and lives get turned upside down.
I have found a new experience myself. When I was young I thought my walk with God was good. When I became an adult I served God in different ways and thought that was good. Now I have found God all over again.
When I married my husband in November I told God I wanted a NEW BEGINNING. I wanted a stronger relationship with him. I now had nothing standing between me and God.
WHAT A FEELING!!! I have never felt anything like it. One day I told my little girl that I felt lite as a feather and that life seemed new to me. I ranted for a while and finally my little girl laughed and said
" Mommy, if people heard you talking like that they'd think you were HIGH."
Now when I praise God in song and in service it is a whole new world for me. Yes, I tried getting high when I was young... BUT I now know there is no higher feeling in the world than GETTING HIGH on Jesus.
If more people could give themselves fully to serving God they would find a HIGH that could never be matched. NO need for drugs, or alchohol, or weed...God's love is a natural high.
I wish I had known this feeling when I was young. Now that I am "old" I find it's better than aspirin, absorbing JR, aspercreme, and geritol. My daily dose of medicine is praising God. WHEEEEE I FEEL LIKE SHOUTIN
