GOD HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR
I am a stay-at-home MOM. This occured AFTER all my years of working, even in being a single MOM. It feels strange to be at home...but I'm still working. A woman's work is never done..it just changes from day to day.
I bet you wonder just what I base my theory on that God has a sense of humor. Well let me tell you.
I was driving to work one day and doing the speed limit which was 40mph. All I saw was a BLUR pass by my window going about 60mph. I thought well I guess they are in a big hurry to get to work. They didn't make it. As I got a little farther down the road, There they were...pulled over by a car with flashing lights. As I passed, what could I do except to say "YEA, they're going to be really late now. I sure hope they don't loose thier job...They're gonna need it to pay that fine."
One day on the way to work I was passed by a shinning new red sports car. Here I was in my old wreck of a car, envying that sweet ride that just ZOOOOOMED passed me. Now I was going about 50, speed limit was 45. I was feeling really good, it was a typical morning. So I just wished him well and watched him speed past me, and the two cars in front of me. He thought he was really making some time. God should have given him ESP as a gift...because for the rest of that 30 minute drive he was ahead of me, and those other two cars, BUT God does have a sense of humor, because all I could do was laugh each time he tried to find a way to pass that school bus. HE never did.
When I was younger I worked nursing and many nights I was coming home late from work. One night my old wreck of a car just stopped running. No warning, no ligts to indicate what was wrong. Just wouldn't run. I waited for help and it came. God always made sure someone stopped to help me, that's why I say my life is full of angels. Because I've had more than my fair share of Human Angels who stopped to help me when I ran out of gas, or had car trouble. But before he sent someone to help me had to send someone to annoy me. She was a proud elderly lady driving a Mercedes Benz. She was so well dressed I thought she might be an ex-movie star or president's mother. Anyway, I thought she might be stopping to help me. but nothing could be farter from the truth. She only stopped to TELL me to MOVE my car. I wanted to move my car alright (right over her pretty dress and purse) but I didn't hear of road rage back then, so I just explained to her that it wouldn't start. She was quick to TELL me to PUSH it out of her way. Now several people had drove passed, so there was plenty of room to pass me. God must have a sense of humor, because I got out of my car and moved it for that lady, and for the rest of that day I laughed at all the things I wanted to say to her...If I hadn't been brought up in a Christian home.
