Prayer & Praise night will be the last Sunday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday School classes for ages 2 and up, including two adult classes, at 9:00 a.m.
Daytimers have breakfast at The Family Cupboard at 8:30 a.m. Wed. the 18th.
There will be a Salem Board of Stewards meeting this Thursday, Oct. 15th at 7:15.
Salem will be visiting the Carthage Nursing Home today at 2 p.m. Our visits usually last about an hour. If anyone is interested, we will be meeting at the church parking lot at 1:30 to carpool. If you have any questions, please see Judy Teegardin.
Everyone is welcome to join us next Sunday for our Thanksgiving Dinner here after the worship service. Please bring a covered dish and your own table service.
Volunteers are needed to cook turkey, make gravy, set up, and clean up for Salem’s Thanksgiving dinner to be on the 22nd. See KaTina if you can help.
The Annual Community Carol Sing at Beaver Falls UMC will be on Dec. 6th at 7:30.
There is still time to sign up for the 40 days of Purpose--- find it in the library.
The Christmas Choir meets on Tues. Nov. 17th at 6:30 p.m. Please join us.
Save the Date! Kickoff for “Converge” at Beaver River on Sat. Dec 5th. It will be a game night that goes from 6:30-9:30pm. They will have both gyms and the pool for some group games as well as sharing Jesus with everyone. They are inviting anyone who wants to wants to be a part of "Converge". It's meant to be a non-denominational para- church ministry.
Remember to pray for our deployed soldiers, especially during the holidays. There is no such thing as an un-wounded soldier. We wouldn’t be here in America if someone hadn’t sacrificed for us. Freedom is not free.

One week left in Care-Net”s Baby Bottle Fund Raiser. This Christian organization offers free pregnancy services to women in need.
Mary Interiano’s family will be hosting an Irish concert in West Martinsburg Church on Nov 14th at 7:00 p.m. including several musicians from NYC. The music is very traditional and instruments include the button accordion, Uilleanne pipes, Boron, tin whistle, and of course the fiddles. It’s a free concert and any donations will benefit the Martinsburg historical Church and Mary Honer's memorial fund.

Rick Kloster is home at his mom and dad’s house. Salem will be providing meals the first week of Nov. Please let KaTina know when you are available. There are no restrictions or requests. There are four adults and two children & eat around 5:00.

The figures are in, and the golf tournament for Brook Haven House was a success! Thank you all so much for what you've done for the moms and babies!

Senior Adults see flyer in the foyer about assistance in navigating the “healthcare maze” on Monday, Nov. 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at Lowville Baptist Church.
Beaver Falls Area Youth Group is open to all teens at 6 p.m. every Sunday evening. This is a non denominational group that meets at Paul Cornell's house on the corner of Lewis St. and LeFevre St. in Beaver Falls.

There will be a Salem Board of Stewards meeting this Thursday, Oct. 15th at 7:15 p.m. Board members include: KaTina Aucter, George Basara, Gary Beller, Rachel Champ, Andy Lehman, Wendy Lehman, and Arlon Widrick
Praise Team practices will be on Tuesday Oct. 13 and Tuesday Oct. 27 at 7:00 P.M. for this month. Anyone interested in joining please contact Patti or Jake Petzoldt.
There is an Area Youth Event from 4-7 pm on October 17th sponsored by Abundant Life’s youth group. There will be some flag football, pingpong, etc. and pedicures. Josiah Tabolt will have devotional message.

Andy Lehman’s class is starting a new study using the book, Battlefield of the Mind, by Joyce Meyer. New faces are always welcome. For those who prefer a traditional study from the Bible, try Arlon Widrick's class.

If anyone would like the pool table from Salem’s rec. room, please see Wendy Lehman. It will need some minor repairs.
Adventure Club Hike up Bald Mountain in Old Forge on Sun, October 4th. Please pack a lunch, to be eaten during coffee hour. We’ll leave church around noon, and return around 6 p.m. It’s a wonderful hike with a spectacular view that can and should be enjoyed by the whole family. It is approximately one mile up a moderate trail and takes an average hiker about an hour, with only a few semi-challenging rock formations. This is for 2nd -6th graders; drivers will be needed. Families are also invited, so anyone else who would like to enjoy a hike and beautiful fall foliage please sign-up. Call Tammy at 346-1389 if you have questions.
The next praise team practice will be on Tuesday Sept. 29th at 7:00 unless otherwise notified. Anyone interested in joining, please see Patti or Jake Petzoldt.

Salem is looking for a volunteer to paint three doors in the building before winter. If you are interested, please see a Board of Stewards member.

Andy's Sunday school class is starting a new book called Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer. There are some extra books on the library counter if you are interested in joining us. We meet in the dining room at 9:00 a.m. and are assigned to read the first chapter this week, discussing it on the 4th. At this point we have Andy, Gary, Diane, Beth, Leslie, Wade, Travis, Nicole, Leah, Terry, Rick, Neil, Jamie, Judy, Dennis, Carl, Donna and more in the class. About six of these are new to the class, so more new faces would fit right in. We'd love to have you join us!

Want to give back for what Salem has done for you? Ministries available for leadership or co-leadership: women’s fellowship leader, men’s fellowship leader, young adult fellowship leader, nursery volunteers and praise team worshippers & musicians. We are also open to new ideas; see a board member. There are no failures, only experiments! (Some positions require membership)
KaTina will now be in charge of coordinating meals to those who are ill. If you have a suggestion of someone in need, have questions, or wish to sign up for a meal, please contact Liz.
