What We Believe ![]() 1. SCRIPTURE: The Authorized King James Bible of 1611 (in any edition, in any language) is the providentially preserved, given by inspiration, inerrant, infallible, complete, written words of God which contains both the Old and New Testaments, 66 books, Genesis to Revelation, and it is THE FINAL ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY IN ALL MATTERS!!!. Psalm 12v6-7; 119v40; Proverbs 30v5; Matthew 24v35; Luke 24v27; 1 Timothy 5v18; 2 Timothy 3v15-17. 2. GOD: We believe in one God; creator and sustainer of all things, without beginning or ending, existing co-equally and co-eternally as a trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; John 1:1-3; Acts 17:24; 1 John 5:7. 3. THE FATHER: We believe in the absolute deity of God the Father, who is the first person in the trinity, the designer of the work of redemption, and to whom all praise, honour, and glory is due. Psalm 2:7-9; Isaiah 53:10-11; John 15:8, 17; I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 1:3-12; Philippians 2:11; Hebrews 12:9; James 1:17. 4. THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: We believe in the absolute deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, who was God manifest in the flesh, and who is the express image of God, the Saviour of the world, and the second person in the trinity; conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died for our sins, was buried, and physically rose again the third day and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, willing and able to make intercession for all who would come to God by Him. Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:18-20; John 5:18; Philippians 2:6-11; 1 Timothy 3:16, 4:10; Hebrews 1:3-8. 5. THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe in the absolute deity of the Holy Spirit, also known as the Holy Ghost, who is the third person in the trinity. His present ministries include: magnifying the Lord Jesus Christ; reproving the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement; regenerating; comforting; teaching; edifying; and eternally sealing believers. We are totally opposed to the present day Charismatic movement which is a counterfeit of the real ministries of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:16; Luke 3:22; John 15:16-18, 26, 16:7-15; Acts 5:3-4, 9, 21:11; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30. 6. MAN: We believe that man was originally created in the image of God; he sinned and thereby incurred physical and spiritual death. When Adam sinned he lost the image of God, therefore no one has the image of God until they are born again. We believe that without exception all are sinners and have need of the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, without whom they will spend eternity in hell and the lake of fire. Genesis 1:26, 2:7, 5:1-3; Romans 3:23, 5:12, 18-19; 1 Corinthians 15:22. 7. SALVATION: We believe that the gospel which saves is that the Lord Jesus Christ, who provided our substitutionary and vicarious atonement for sin through His shed blood, died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures; and that whosoever admits their sinful, lost condition before God, and receives the Lord Jesus Christ with a heart belief, trusting Him alone as their personal Saviour by faith, WITHOUT any good works, water baptism, or observance of commandments, will be scripturally saved and "born again", and is forever eternally secure in this salvation. Isaiah 53; Matthew 11:28; John 3:5-8, 16-18, 36, 4:14, 5:24, 6:37, 10:28-29, 12:32; Acts 4:12; Romans 4:5-8, 5:9, 15-21, 6:23, 8:33-39, 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 12-14, 17; Ephesians 2:8-9; Colossians 2:9-14; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 1 John 5:9-13; Revelation 22:17. We are totally opposed to "Lordship Salvation" ("if Christ is not Lord of all, He is not Lord at all"), or any other heresy that detracts from salvation being a FREE GIFT; or confuses salvation with discipleship, surrender, or service that FOLLOWS salvation. Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 2:8-10. We are totally opposed to any form of "Calvinism" that detracts from man's free-will ability and choice in the matter of salvation. 1 Timothy 2:4-5, 4:10; 2 Peter 3:9. 8. SECOND ADVENT OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: We believe in Christ's visible, literal, personal return to the earth. This Second Coming is in two parts, as was His First Coming: We believe the first part of the Second Coming is the pre-tribulation "Rapture" of the universal church, which is His body and bride, before God's wrath is poured out during the Great Tribulation, also known as Daniel's 70th Week and the Time of Jacob's Trouble, in which God will be primarily dealing with the nation of Israel again. We believe the second part of the Second Coming is Christ's visible, literal, personal return after the Tribulation to set up His visible, literal one thousand year reign on the earth. John 5:25, 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:50-53; Philippians 3:20; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Revelation 1:7, 3:10, 19:11-16, 20:4-6. 9. DISPENSATIONS: We believe the Pauline Epistles (Romans through Philemon) are the doctrinal foundation for the present Church Age, written by the apostle to the Gentiles, and we believe in a moderate dispensational division of the scriptures as a basis of study when encountering verses that appear to contradict these doctrines. Romans 11:13, 15:15-16; 2 Timothy 2:15. We are totally opposed to dispensationalism that ignores doctrine found outside of Romans through Philemon that does not contradict their teaching; and we are totally opposed to "hyper-dispensationalism" that separates Paul's epistles into "prison" and "non-prison" epistles or any other similar heresy. Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 10:6, 11; 1 Timothy 6:3-5. 10. LOCAL CHURCH: We believe that the local church is God's primary program in this age for the preaching, teaching, and propagation of the gospel. It is independent, internally governed (autonomous), separate from political and ecclesiastical entanglements, and is responsible only to the Lord Jesus Christ. The local church has two offices: Elder and Deacon (the presiding Elder being called a Bishop or Pastor). It has two ordinances: water baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper. Its ministries include: exalting the Saviour, evangelizing the sinner, and edifying the saint. Matthew 16:18, 28:19-20; Acts 2:47, 6:24, 10:48, 14:23, 20:28; 1 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Timothy 3:1-16; Titus 1:5-9. We are totally opposed to any form of "Baptist brider" heresy that teaches the local church is a separate body from the literal, invisible, spiritual body of Christ comprised of all true believers who make up the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-29; Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:23-27, 29-32; Colossians 1:24. 11. SEPARATION: We believe that although a believer is "in the world", he is not to be "of the world" but should abstain from all appearance of evil to the best of his ability as a testimony to the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and so as not to be a stumbling block to a weaker brother in Christ or to the lost. John 15:18-19; Romans 14, 16:17-18; 1 Corinthians 5:9-13, 8; 2 Corinthians 6:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:22; 2 Thessalonians 3:6-15. ![]()
