Our Sunday School Program runs from mid-September through May of each year, with a curriculum designed for varying ages. Children are encouraged to attend the first portion of the "adult" service each week, so they may be introduced to concepts such as singing the opening hymn, praying the Lord's Prayer, participating in Children's Time with the Pastor, and sitting still during a service. After this special time upstairs the children are released to their individual classes for the remainder of the service.
We currently have Nursery & a excellent Sunday School program for ages 5-13 entitled "Witness" Each class is staffed with a volunteer teacher. Activities include learning prayers, songs, and bible stories. The students also complete craft projects that reinforce the curriculum each week. We want to instill in our children that learning about God and religion can be fun and rewarding!
We also encourage parent participation in the Sunday School program. Possibilities include teaching a few Sunday's each semester, participating in the nursery, teacher's aide duties, or helping out with special activities such as Good Friday breakfast, Advent workshop, or Family Night. We encourage you to drop in at any time to see what your child is learning!
