GROWING IN LOVE WITH THE KING
Galatians 4:6 states...
Because we are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts whereby we cry Abba, Father.
When a child is able to pronounce their first few syllables a loving fathers desire is for that child to be able to call him father. Though at first it may sound unintelligible nonetheless that undeciferable sound brings great joy to his Father's heart. Our fathers love in heaven toward us is the same way yet magnify that emotion to the highest mathematical power. As scripture says, "For God loved the world (all of humanity) so much that He gave His Only begotten Son." Love in itself is not just an abstract feeling of emotion or a thing. Though it is true that these are some of the ways we are able to express Gods love, yet the expression of God, who is love, is encapsulated and revealed in Christ. Love is a person who is calling us to draw near unto Him. As we draw near unto God in Christ who is the personification of Love we become like the person we are enthralled with, clothed with. In this way we are able to redeem our time with Him (make full use) as we seek Him out of a growing Love relationship. If we are truly growing in our Love for Christ the King we will also be growing in our love for the scriptures, our devotion to obey His Word, lovers of His Presence and loving others.
Love that is mature and or maturing is tested and tried through the fire. This fire comes in various forms such as, temptations, desires, thoughts, needs and wants, just to name a few. Ours is to lean into God the Holy Spirit and ask, seek, and knock for Gods Grace to be activated and or imparted unto us. When the Holy Spirit finds a willing heart, a submissive heart, a ready heart to cry out to Him then Grace is there to carry us through. It is human nature to be tempted, to feel weary, and or at times find oneself wrestling with the flesh. But it is during these times that the Word and the Holy Spirit are willing to come and gird us up unto faithfulness. The evil one is an angel of light (knowledge) and he is wanting to cause the light of Gods righteousness in us to diminish. The light of Gods righteousness in us grows brighter through love that is tested, nurtured and guarded unto faithfulness. As we draw nearer to the coming of our King our love should be growing stronger and brighter in faithfulness and obedient devotion.
Proverbs 4:18
But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which grows brighter and brighter until the full day has come. But the way of the wicked is like darkness, they do not know at what they stumble. My son give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them , and health to all their body. Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow forth the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put devious speech far from you. Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your eyes be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet and all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right or to the left; turn your foot from evil.
John 14:21
He that has my commandments and keeps them, it is he that loves me; and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him and show myself unto him.

The Lord preserves all them that love Him, but all the wicked He shall destroy.

Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high because he knows my name.
