John 8:12
This past month the birthday of Jesus Christ was celebrated all around the world. It was celebrated in many ways, and in many languages, by people of all colors and races. For a few hours there was no talk of war. For a few hours men talked of peace on earth and good will toward all men. Gifts were exchanged and some even sang about, and talked of Christ's birth.
In Bethlehem two thousand years ago. the night began as any other night. But it became a night that this world will never forget! For the night that the Christ child was born and this was the night when there shone a great light in the heavens! God brought His Son, Jesus, into the world of darkness, and in Him was the light of life for all mankind! The light of Christ would conquer the darkness of sin and bring redemption for all who would believe on Him!
Now that Christmas is past and we begin a New Year, may His light keep shining within our hearts all year through and may we help to shed His light on those who are still living in darkness all around this great planet earth! Amen?.............
The Light of life
The Light of God is still shining bright
just as it did on that long ago Holy night;
There are still those dwelling in darkness who are searching for the One who makes everything alright.
His light is still shining down on earth
to draw the wandering soul into His fold;
His gifts are far more precious than
frankincense, myrrh, and gold.
He can light a spark within a heart and
you can feel the warmth and healing of
the glow;
When His Holy Spirit comes in and
the love begins to flow.
Oh what a change in the heart of man
begins to take place;
Once that cold and lonely heart has felt
the touch of God's mercy and His grace!
In the light of His presence all of the
darkness will erase;
No more will the shadows hide the light
of the Masters loving face!
All traces of sin and transgressions will
have to go!
When the light of His glory comes in and His peace and joy begin to flow!
God is the way, the truth and the life;
When we receive Him into our hearts,
He'll remove all the darkness of sin and
strife!
His love shines brightly through the
darkest night;
He fills the heart of men with His
glorious light!
When they put their trust in Him,
His love will come shining through
and make all things new and right!
God Loves You!
